Marsh is not good enough to play as a front line bowler.

Seems a different player, I always thought he was pretty ordinary. He's been terrific early though, it'll be interesting to see if he can keep it up all year.So did WA fans and coaches for about five years.
Have seen it live - he's very good with the pink ball.Wonder how the likes Behendorf would go with the pink ball under lights.

Dean has the Shield final century that puts him in front of Renshaw. The pressure of a shield final is as close as a shield player will get to a test match, and he stood up. Renshaws good though. Its a positive to be in this position, 2 young guns.Renshaw would be my choice over Dean.
I hope Marcus Harris stays consistent.
If it really came down to that, which it won't, play Faulkner, at least he has some sort of x factor, and a bit of mongrel in him. Marsh has neither.
One of the great myths of Australian cricket.O'Keefe (whilst I dont think is International standard)

He's the best spinner in the country.

Every time I have seen him at Test level, he hasnt really tested the batsman. Most of his wickets have been against the tail or batsman trying to hit him out of the ground.
I dont have anything against them giving tests to him now because of Lyons poor form, but I don't think we are going to learn anything about O'Keefe that we don't already know.

A shield final at Glenelg oval is not remotely close to a test match in from if 50k at the Adelaide oval. Marsh more likely to take test poles than Faulkner IMO
So who do u play then...marsh is injured, Burns isn't up to it....some bastard has to open

Actually though Faulkner bowled very well in the lone Test he played. Deserved a further look I reckon, but he wouldn't be any better as a Test #6 batsman, and not sure he's really the type you want as your 3rd paceman, either, although I wouldn't be against giving him a go in the latter role if form/injuries to others allowed for it.
Lyon is still the best spinner.
Didn't take wickets in Perth, who does??
Reverted to bowling darts in Hobart.
Atm he's the guy that zips through overs to get the bowling rate up to speed.
He's better than that.
What's the big fear factor about pushing Khawaja up to open for a Test?
