We clearly need more mongrel hence Wade over Vanilla Neville.
Get Warner back on the angry pills.

it's difficult to act like flogs when you're getting rolled for under 100 every innings

funny how south africa and sri lanka managed to crush us without acting like complete tossers in the process

All this talk about a left handed number 6 bat like Maddinson. Think we're forgetting a former left hander that could do the job while literally snaffling Lyon's pies at first slip #bringbackcozzy

No sympathy for Cosgrove! Completely lacked self-discipline.

Don't know about that, Philander did, and do did Faf.

Mark Waugh is a dead set plonker.
It always happens with the twin who has no ability. S.Waugh would never pick a player like Maddinson. Its blatant state bias. Its been going on since 1970, so why is anyone surprised??

Don't understand the pick of Wade. With the Indian tour coming up shortly, you can't seriously have Wade there. If he drops Kohli, Pujara etc. then it sets up the whole mood of the series, ala Haddin dropping Root

Somehow after what happened in Sri Lanka, and the last 3 tours of India, I think there are greater concerns than the wicket keeper shelling chances that are almost certain to not be created by whichever spinner the selectors decide to pick.

Since Lyon last took a first class wicket (Maharaj only slightly mistiming a heave and being caught at long-on) he's...

bowled 522 balls (87 overs)
for 8 maidens (1 every 10.9 overs)
conceding 386 runs (4.4 per over)
with 46 4s or 6s against him (1 every 11.3 balls)
and taken 0 wickets (ummm.....mathematically you can't divide by zero!)

Well...I guess you could say he's due! Or lucky.

Definitly think we can win with the side we have chosen. Hoping Sayers gets the nod.

Renshaw and Warner will be a great partnership for a very long time. If people don't really know Renshaw that well, he plays like Alistair Cook but with more shots. Sees off the swing of the new ball and then gets his run rate back up. Don't be surprised to see him at 20 runs of 80 balls or somethign like that after the 1st session. He makes it up when the bowlers are tiring.

Ah....Mark Waugh no ability!? You're kidding yeah? I mean, the guy is a f#ckwit but he's one of the most talented cricketers (in every facet of the game) that I've seen

what has that got to do with anything? I like all the other changes (except Maddinson) and wanted changes. There wasn't really any need to change the wicketkeeper because it is so important during the subcontinent to have a good wicketkeeper. It is hard enough to get 20 wickets over there let alone getting 23/24 because Wade keeps dropping chances.

The state bias doesn't mean anything this time because the only other player in contention was Patterson who was also in the Blues squad.

What, by throwing a ball past Khawaja in his follow through?

What an ogre.
Than he sooked for 30 minutes after that, I was there.

And he appeals more than the Indians, ie. every ball.

Oh yeah, and FAF cheated. Think that's enough.

Read that he only ended up with a Test batting average of 41. Top score of only 153*. He had so much ability that he didn't even think he needed to try that hard. And statistically it cost him.

Talented yes. Underachiever, bigger Yes. Lacked Steve's kahunas.
Best slip fielder ever though.

You could have the Avengers behind the stumps and in the cordon and it wouldn't make two drunken f**ks of difference if you're getting bowled out of 120 every time you face someone who moves the ball more than 1.2 degrees.

we are the biggest flogs in world cricket and have been for at least 20 years. the 'mental disintegration' stuff works when you have guys like mcgrath and warne in the team, not so much when half your XI is barely shield calibre.

1. there's no rule about appealing. you'll often find that when you're hitting pads or beating the bat 9 times an over there will be a lot of appeals.

2. if Faf cheated, so did basically every Australian who spent yesterday playing cricket. I know most of my team did

It's not just spin he is bad at tho, I have seen him drop or (not try an catch) edges from pacemen. We can't go into the Indian series just assuming we are going to get bowled out for 120 every innings otherwise what is the point in even going.
