Going by the current policy, ie. Fergy 1 test, Out. Mennie 1 test, Out.Don't mind the squad. Like the idea of Nic Maddinson coming in. Hopefully Sayers gets the nod over Bird.
Edit: I'd say Furguson was lucky to get 1 test. I never liked him as a player. Didn't think he'd do well and guess what. out for 1 test

The problem is that Maddinson shouldn't even have been mentioned in the same breath as Patterson... Patterson is so far ahead of Maddinson right now it's not even funny.Don't get the NSW bias call
4 of the 5 players called up aren't from NSW and Maddison was fighting Patterson
In any time for the last 30 years none of these guys would have got a go but we have no options left
would be seriously discussed i would have thoughtIs Lyon any chance of carrying the drinks?
Starc Hazlewood Bird Sayers with relief coming from Smith/Warner/Maddinson

Change is good. Playing Lyon who is incapable of troubling SAF bats is pointless

If Maddinson, Sayers and Renshaw all fail, then it's back to the drawing board. Out you go.

This is why Warnie calls Vaughan a "Pommie Git"Already had a Pom fishing today
Maybe.Because he's taking the piss?
33 years old is relevant how? He's smashing 25 year old bowlers all over the park isn't he??
Definitly think we can win with the side we have chosen. Hoping Sayers gets the nod.
Renshaw and Warner will be a great partnership for a very long time. If people don't really know Renshaw that well, he plays like Alistair Cook but with more shots. Sees off the swing of the new ball and then gets his run rate back up. Don't be surprised to see him at 20 runs of 80 balls or somethign like that after the 1st session. He makes it up when the bowlers are tiring.
Regardless that they are the best available. And in form. And experienced. And scoring runs? OK then. Well that makes sense.since the selectors have basically stated publically that they're looking for players that are the future of the team
ie. no more picking blokes in their mid 30s who can only give us a couple of years
I think what the Ferguson axing shows is that they made a mistake, he was the wrong call. Right call has been made now with the younger guys givin a chance.
