Yes. He's not a great wicket keeper, but the fact is, he's got a FC average of near on 40 as a keeper. Anybody who does that is far from an ordinary bat.

True, having a better look over the stats now he's superior.
Both FC and at test level with the bat while he's a couple years younger

Victorians in this forum are amazing. Rather than having the interests of Australian cricket at heart they seem to be more interested in getting as many of their average suburban cricketers that represent Victoria into the Australian team.

How anyone could suggest Cameron White is beyond me - I mean he literally has two shots, he either tees off or he tries to block the ball. White hasn't a modicum of batsmanship in his persona other than that he holds a bat occasionally.

Why would you suggest Wade for selection when at best he is a backstop, and probably the worst wicket-keeper to ever play a Test for Australia. I mean Neville's glove work is the best of any keeper in the country and he is the best batsman of anyone currently keeping at State level in the country. His batting technique is possibly only surpassed by Khawaja in the current Australian line-up and in addition to which he is performing as he showed in his last Test match.

Then there are talents like Siddle, a bloke bowling wide of the crease sub 130km/h with absolutely no ability to take the ball away from a right-handed batsman. Handscomb a young player that has done nothing tof deserve a Test spot; who on my limited viewing just doesn't seem to be talented. I would have thought if you are going to get national selection and you don't have performance to justify the selection then as a minimum you must have some talent.

No doubt, we will be hearing the names of Holland and Maxwell for the Australian team so mediocrity can be fully entrenched.

This is the sort of style-over-substance f**kwittery that has put the team where it is.

Who the f*** cares what shots White uses. Alastair Cook has a cut, an offside punch and a clip off the legs. and he's going to break every aggregate record in the book. Graeme Smith had even less shots and was a better batsman than cook. it is literally 2 weeks since Dean Elgar made a match winning hundred seemingly with no shots at all.

Wade is a proven test match batsman, hence 2 centuries in 12 tests or whatever it is. at the moment keeping isn't an issue anyway because Lyon creates f*** all chances, and the quicks create enough that even the mistakes wouldn't get punished. they could put Pat Cummins in the gloves and it wouldn't matter provided he was making more runs than hollow bat Nevill.

Lyon has fugues of 0/105 at the moment. Unfortunately O'Keefe isn't a great deal better. Agar might be kicking himself he's not fit for this round. Will be interesting to see how Holland goes on the same wicket as Lyon and O'Keefe

One of the guys chucked out of the academy alongside Cosgrove for living like slobs was Dave Warner. There's so much plus side around Cosgrove's batting, it's just a shame about the rest of it. Genuine waste of talent.
