Chinaman too.
Would love to see if he and Agar can become a good 1-2 punch for WA this year. If M Marsh plays you could get away with only NCN/Paris/Dorff as front line seamers.

See S.Australia have a Kelvin playing.

I'd like to see a Kelvin playing for Australia, not enough Kelvins out there.

Doesn't Handscomb have a great sense of timing! Against a bowling line up who've all played test cricket too.

On the spin department, I don't particularly care if they give up runs as long as they take wickets. Zampa hasn't done enough over a long enough period of time to be picked, but his runs per over has nothing to do with why I wouldn't pick him. Impossible to go to Adelaide without a spinner, but it's tough to see Lyon getting a reprieve based on his first innings figures against Victoria. Someone is going to get plucked from relative obscurity just like Lyon did when he was first picked - it could yet be Zampa.

I think people are being awfully presumptuous in assuming that Mennie will be picked. One and done would be harsh, but I don't think many people thought he should've been picked in the first place. He certainly didn't dominate in the first innings, but I'm enjoying watching the Tasmanian score updates with Bird continuing to prove a point with the bat.

In any case, what a shame tv networks don't care about Sheffield Shield. There is more interest in this round of Shield games than any round in years (and years).
Zampa? May as well go with Maxwell, at least he might make some runs and would probably end up bowling more overs in the end. The best Zampa can do at the moment is pick up a few while still going for 5 an over at Shield level. What do you think SA would do to him?

100%
Zampa gets a game we are cooked!

Lyon might count himself a touch lucky that Agar isn't fit, he's taken 10 on the same pitch that Lyon hasn't done anything, and our lower order would look better with him in it.

Not the same pitch, this is a road

Be interesting though if Holland picks up a few!

Someone tell Handscomb he has made his point now and he can stop bullying the GOAT (lol)

Not the greatest time for Wade to score only 10.

I think Agar can too. Agar is just starting to get somewhere with his bowling an extremely lean patch over the last couple of seasons, throwing him into a test wouldn't do him much good right now.

Really bad time for Agar to be injured as well because his form and the GOAT's lack of it.

I would play O'Keefe, maybe Zampa but that is a huge gamble, though the dead rubber is the game to do it.

Zampa is no good at Shield level though, and O'Keefe is only a very slight upgrade on Lyon at this stage

Hard to see O'Keefe, or Holland being the answer long term, and Lyon is looking like he's coming towards the end now, maybe it's time to take a risk on Agar, play him, and hope he can do what he looks capable of.

Hence why its a gamble, I probably wouldn't do it but he is a leggie and people love them.

I think O'Keefe would be better in India too, Lyon has only one good performance in India and has been spanked every other time in the sub continent sans his debut. I thought O'Keefe was looking good in the first innings in Sri Lanka before injury. I would pick him now for that reason to get him settled in the team. If he stinks it up, play Agar if he keeps performing, or recall Lyon.
