Wade has shown himself to be a decent Test batsman and that is clearly what we need right now.

He's also shown to be below average with the gloves, this is the equivalent of picking Mennie instead of Bird because he bats better.

A keepers first job is with the gloves and Wade has shown he's not Test quality with them.
