Hutch was directly responsible for two of Kennedys goals via assists. He was reasonably quiet, but he wasnt deplorable as some on here would suggest.

Jetta was good too. His chase and aggresion was much better than previous weeks. Lycett will be suspended and Giles will have to come in..

"Simpson has constantly indicated swinging brilliant all-rounder Jeremy McGovern into ruck duties" ... actually Simmo usually pours cold water on the idea doesn't he?

You may be right about what they told Jetta, that would explain why he strolled around barely putting in an effort. I hope you're wrong.

Don't agree with this at all. I was at the game and his defensive efforts weren't bad - it was good to see him getting fired up and showing a bit of aggressiveness.

Jetta's problem is that he's seriously lacking confidence. There were a couple of times where he received the ball on the wing and could have gone on the kind of blazing run we used to see all the time in his Sydney days. Instead he took the safe option, clearly not willing to risk making a mistake. I think it's the same reason that he often makes decent leads but doesn't seem to yell and demand the ball - he's lacking confidence and it's causing him to second-guess himself.

My impression is that we just need to keep being patience with Jetts - dropping him to the WAFL would just affect his confidence more and be counter-productive.

Well worth giving this article by Matthew Lloyd a read for an insight into how much players can be affected by a loss of confidence.

To be fair though, Jetts has been extended a LOT of leeway already this season. How many more matches can we play him? At the moment, we are basically rewarding him for poor performance

I'd like to see how Hagdorn determined that Lycett's hit was 'Medium' impact.

Did Ziebell even stay lying on the ground - thought he got straight back up and kept playing

To be fair to Hagdorn on the AFL website Nathan schmuk also had it as medium impact somehow

I too was at the game and saw a seemingly uninterested player. And this has been pretty much the same throughout the year. It's all very well to say he's lacking confidence but that does not excuse the lack of effort. Gifting games to someone is not the message you want to send the group, everyone at East Perth must be encouraged to think that strong, consistent performances will get them a call up. Seeing Jetta stroll around and even when he gets dropped be recalled on the back of mediocre WAFL form isn't the way I'd want the team run.

Sorry, but I can't agree that not dropping a player short on confidence lest he suffer a further blow to his confidence is twisted logic. Taken to its extreme the lower his confidence levels plummet the greater the need to keep playing him at AFL level. Even Collingwood bit the bullet on Travis Cloke and he may have turned the corner after Staurday's game, time will tell.

He seems to be arguing that EMac will come in for Brown, with Gov taking over the ruck-forward role, and saying it's just in time with Lycett facing suspension.

With Lycett in doubt I'd have thought it was less likely that Brown will be dropped, not more likely.

Got a feeling Lycett will cop a pretty big penalty and there will be BF melts.. Hope I'm wrong.
Was a stupid thing to do.

Expecting 3, down to 2 weeks.

Anything more is excessive.

If it's high contact, careless and low impact then I think it's just a fine, even with Lycett's poor record. Fingers crossed anyway.
