It's been covered here before but Rotham as a key defender is dangerous. He lacks the stregth size to do so. He's either gonna be too short for lobb or gonna be out muscled by Tabanar
Yes true, if Tabs and/or Lobby get a roll-one? No tall brute strength down there, have to be a collective job. Maybe Harry will stand tall, entering fantasy realm soon...
There'll be some role swaps going down..
The die is cast now, we wait, hope, behold, the reality that is about to unfold...?
Freo cover themselves in glory and go ballistic in Purple town, or Eagles save their season, redeem themselves and live to fight another day....?
Love this moment right now....the vacuum between team announcement and bouncedown!

We aren't winning this.

Missing from best 22:

McGovern, Hurn, Barrass, Yeo, Shuey, Ryan, Rioli.

Again it begs the question, who will be the infield leaders when the chips are down?

Could see Waterman in defence as a spare

Warming up on Brander in defence too.

Allen should be given the task on Lobb or Taberner, rather than Rotham. Brander might spend some time on one of them if absolutely required.
You would think edward being 200cms would take lobb and I would put brander on tabener with rotham 3rd tall .

Freo will have their own tall back problems against us .

If you compare the key back depth we are looking better then they are

Yep, could miss that leadership down back...

There's enough assets to move around and cover roles and holes, but whether they stand up individually and collectively...lets not forget Freo have their own problems, a solid midfield 'aint one of them?

In all honesty their defence is decimated too, if we get the ball into our forward line we will score from most entries imo!
I think that’s most of the issue though. We’re going to be lucky to get 20 inside 50s for the match. We better be scoring every single time we go in. Don’t really see us getting close tbh

Amazing.

After last weeks diabolical performance, and the injuries we have, we still field the same proven spuds and totally out of form guys that haven't performed all year.

Surely now was the time to swing the changes.
Admit Vardy is just a nebbish. When he goes on the ground it feels as if someone just went off.
Cripps has slowed, fumbles and fails to stick tackles. Defensive small forward who keeps the ball in and grabs a few himself? Not any more.
Langdon looks out of his depth. WAFL to show something.
XON and Jones are maybe's for the future, but right now are not highlighting it. Not sure whether to persist as getting games in is a good thing, or a couple of WAFLs to body fitness recover.
Forget guys like Hutchings. He's at the end and as a fringe player what's the point?
Ah Chee might re-invent as perma-sub. Has the build to be a backup for quite a few positions.

I'd rather see LEdwards, Trew, HEdwards and Williams playing than this mob.

Just want Hurn to get to 300 now. Highlight of the year if it happens.

Both sides have large swathes of their defences unavailable Hurn, Barras and McGovern for Eagles with Ryan, Pearce, Hamling and Young for Freo. Also still some chance of Cox not getting up. If that is the case then the odds are with the Eagles with their forward line.

Midfield wise Eagles are missing Shuey and Yeo while Dockers are missing Cerra. Definite advantage to Freo there. Fyfe, Mundy, Serong and Brayshaw are in good form and Tucker, Acres, Frederick and Aish provide handy back up plus you can chuck in Sonny Walters as well. Eagles mids dont bat as deep with Kelly, Sheed, Redden and Gaff lacking support. An awful lot will depend on NicNat. If he lets Darcy break even then probably Freo win.

Intriguing game. Best Derby matchup for ages I reckon

The only issue is who do we bring in? It’s not like Jetta is waiting in the wings like he was last year and we got pissed off at the lack of imagination. We honestly have nothing other than WAFL players and a bloke that looked good in 10 minutes of a nab cup game. Vardy for Trew is probably the only thing I’d do, because why not at this point. But outside of that it’s just shuffling deckchairs and we’d be better off sticking with the guys who have games under their belt this year for continuity.

Hurn is a bigger loss than TB. This doesnt bode well.
My spys tell me that medicine in Perth is a pretty dodgy closed shop. The club should look outside the square a bit more.
