This is a fp. Not a midfield less running. I'm sure willie is unfit to be mid but not to be a fp. I think we are overrating how much running a fp does. FP have the ability to rest for 5 mins burst for 5 mins.

Mids need to be in burst mode all the time.

Um have you by chance noted in games these days all players in both teams in one third of the field?

And then everyone runs up the other end.

You dont see anyone resting in a forward pocket.

Rioli would be totally exposed for lack of fitness.

I really hope we put in a better effort than GWS last night. Elimination finals have a way of being beltings once the result is done and I hope we stay close enough all game to not embarrass ourselves. This year has been poo and could see it ending like poo.

bring in a tall winger like lamb to play on a tall winger like westoff ok still a bit of height difference but better than gaff, use him to tag and drop a tall from defence, idea being make us more mobile. but we get an unchanged line up with the usual suspects as emergencies masto and wellers have had brilliant years so lets stick to the status quo. our tall defence worked on a tall forward line like adelaides but port have more runners we need to do the same.

Agree on Emac playing on Dixon, if we allow Mcgovern or Barrass to look after him he will kick a bag full as they don't play on anyone.

Ryder is the key and he must be reduced in his output some how.

That's very interesting, you could easily flip that around to all of the pressure being on Port because of those reasons. They are expected to come out and put us away.

If we chuck a spanner in the works and get off to good start like we did earlier this year against them at AO, who knows? They might start panicking and create more opportunities for us. Finals are fickle beasts.

I wouldn't be surprised if Wellingham is the late in- I think his finals experience could be useful & we have won 8 of the 12 games he has played this year.

But considering how unsettled the side has been this year- naming an unchanged line up is good. We look as balanced as we really have all year. Really looking forward to Mitchell being on our side this finals series this time too.

We really need to start well. Open an early advantage and the nervousness in the crowd will be very evident.
