Simmo thought telling Schoey he wasn't playing in the QF was the hardest thing he's ever done, imagine having to tell him the match committee's picked a debutant ahead of him for a prelim.

Are people just taking the piss when they want Allen or Watson to come in?

Melbourne are good. They play with the hunger of the Bulldogs or Tigers and have a good list. I thought at Optus they out played us. They did a lot of kick to kick past us when we didnt man up. When we had the ball they tackled pretty consistently in pairs

Schofield is a under rated solid champ of the club. Great to see him play next weekend.

LeCras concerns me more. We need some hard edge up there. Similar to Venables attitude to tackling. The Petch? O. Allen?

So some big match ups. Who will Hutch go to and will he have a hard tag role? He didnt seem to go the hard tag on Sidebottom last week. Will he go to viney or Oliver ?

Now we are meeting Melbourne in the Prelim..
Again I am not too concern on who is in and who is out. The more important bits are:
1. We must increase our work rate for all 4 quarters
2. Neither Geelong nor Hawthron applied enough forward pressure to Melbourne and ended up losing badly as Melbourne could run too freely. We must learn from their mistakes.
