Will be interesting to see if we can manufacture the same openish forward line/more precise delivery going forward against the Swannies like we did against Brisbane. Would also be great to kick straight this game as well.
If we can beat the Swans at the SCG I am confident we will be able to beat the Cats in the GF.

Optus Stadium is basically the same size and dimensions as the MCG. We absolutely sucked playing at the cigar shaped KP this year, our boundary-hugging ball movement was eaten up by Geelong every time we tried to run up the wing.
We got smacked around the ball at KP, hard to put that down to the shape of the ground

For myself I am reading nothing into that game. Lions defence was a complete failure that night. An under 10's forward line would have looked AA level had they played them. Melbourne did not blaze away into the forward 50 at least.

Sydney should give us a much more organised defence I feel this will be a big challenge and take some dare to win it.

I don’t like being a doomsayer, but there’s no way Sydney will allow us the freedom Brisbane did.

What do you think our changes will be, mores? Keen to hear your in depth analysis.

I think what he's getting at is:

IN: Doomsayer.
OUT: Either Pessimist or Worrywart.

Handwringer moves up to the wing, Fatalist rotates between on-ball and HBF.

mores always keeps me wanting more when he gives his one and two word replies.

My family are Hindus. I look exactly like the guitar player from Soundgarden did in the 90s. Like so much so that people have shown me photos of him and I thought it was me. My mother couldn't tell us apart. Maybe Kim's mother could, I don't know her.
The way you've described yourself over a few posts it makes me think of a Dees fan I grew up living across the road from. Same religion, background, age and a Dees supporter. He'd probably reference soundgarden too.

The only difference is you seem a bit mad to be him and he's a family man now.

From Toumps posts I believe he's also a family man.

Haha, I'm a family man now, so I'd like to think I'm less mad than I was :)

That said I didn't care too much about footy until my mid-20's, I jumped in at the end of the Danniher era and into Bailey/ Neeld years. Solid timing there. I used to go to Saints game when I was young, that was my Dad's team and we weren't far from Moorabbin growing up.

The plot thickens. I grew up about 25-30 minutes drive from Moorabbin.

I also know by his facebook that he likes the bigfooty page.

Don't get to the footy often, and when I do go I don't usually do a pub stop before the game. Any recommendations? Staying in the city for the night too so anywhere after too before I get me some post midnight dumplings.

Proper Gander as our community thingy person, you should be organising a catch up at a pub.

Yeah! Richmond Club Hotel and Mount View Hotel are both good and a short stroll to the G

The London Tavern is my go to but a little further to walk than some others, Richmond Club Hotel or The Corner also good.
