I'm just playing the percentages. We maintain a 100% win rate at the MCG in finals under Goodwin. The SCG is an unknown.

Optus Stadium is basically the same size and dimensions as the MCG. We absolutely sucked playing at the cigar shaped KP this year, our boundary-hugging ball movement was eaten up by Geelong every time we tried to run up the wing.ill be interested to see how we go though under a different Goody since last playing finals at the G. The space suited our run and gun style back in 2018. Its a much different Melbourne in 2022.
Hope May does the first kick in barrell up the guts (dont even care if Gawn is anywhere near it) like Frosty.
Gotta start the mind games early

Don't reduce the great Josh Wagner to "the extra man"Random Frosty barrels off kick ins that carried to the centre circle. Running the extra man off the back of the square at centre bounces and leaving us one short in defence. What a time to be alive it was.

FWIW the Gabba is probably the closest ground to the SCG in shape. Obviously we destroyed Brisbane there but I feel like Sydney at the SCG is a much different prospect. They know how to play that ground incredibly well. They've basically smashed everyone there since May.Im not reading too far into the loss at Geelong, we were playing terrible footy at every ground around that stage of the season.
I remember everyone hated Goodwin's gimmicky tactics like this at the time. Now everyone complains we're too boring and predictable. No one knows what they want.It was thrilling Russian roulette.

6-6-6 came in in 2019 and killed that play.I loved it, it was innovative. I can promise you I never bagged it once.
My issue was more with when Goody rolled in 2019 with exactly the same game plan and zero innovation. Then we became a predictable mess.
Maybe specify that
champ
Actually we should move this game to Marvel. Sydney are very shaky there.
Anybody else wondering which guernsey Fremantle will wear in week one of finals?
