Why are you getting worked up by where they are named.

They could list them from Back Pocket to Rover in alphabetical order for all the ____ing good it is. The team lineup has no bearing on where they may start on the day, don't bother reading anything into it at all.

Id like to see Paul Roos go crazy one day when naming a team and put Paul Bevan and Jared McVeigh in the Ruck. Leo Barry and Craig Bolton in the Forward line and put Ryan O'Keefe and Nick Davis in defence.

First of all congrats to Nick Smith, hope u great game and fruitful career.
So what happened to Brennen? I thought he went alright last week, with Hall out and LRT pushing fwd like last week, i thought we would need his height in defense.

so LRT to centre half forward!?!! why? surely that can't be, if he's still gonna be second ruck
and white on to the emergency bench is surely a good sign his time is coming
if we were reluctant to play LRT at CHB and back-up ruck, why would we rest him at CHF while playing back-up ruck? what am i missing?
there's a trick somewhere, surely
i spose if i'm scratching me noggin, so will the geelong boys

Im with you guys totally confused, but have an idea that Lrt will ruck, and Goodsey will float in and out at Chf,interchanging with Rok.Either way we have to shut down their midfield runners,as from watching them play at home
a few times, they really love to run straight down the guts.

He apparently pulled up "stiff" after last saturday night. Doesnt sound right cause he has been naed as an eergency.

geelong have dropped harry taylor to the emergency bench
no idea why, he's been going well
but to me that suggests they're a bit worried about how we're going to set up our forwards, and don't want taylor exposed to a far more experienced player such as davis or micky o
i dunno
all seems a bit like mind games

Geelong do this every year, even with Selwood, play them for 5 or so games and then rest them for a week, must be something to do the the young guys' lack of stamina

not worked up, chum
FAR from worked up
well, not by the way the team's been listed....but certainly, i'd have thought LRT at CHF would be enough to frustrate me if that's where he heads on saturday

Wojcinski's the really hard runner. I'd just love to see him not do anything, because its those bursts that'll hurt us the most, I don't really see anyone catching up with him once he's off.

The Nick Smith addition is a little random, but good luck to him!

They've dropped Taylor because we have a smaller forward line. General concensus on the G-Board seems to be we're going for smaller, harder bodies to flood.

Oh, and they're opping for hardness over pace. Goood :D

Is his contract expiring too? If it is, then I'd be more worried about the other 10 or so...

yes it is, but he's a quality player who hasn't had much of a chance in the seniors because we haven't had many injuries. he's like a less dynamic, more midfield version of chappy

Just saw the story on the Swans homepage, and he isn't at all scrawny like I thought him to be! Living in the past ..

Ah. You can tell I don't pay much attention these days. Still, not good news, especially for Thornton.

Thornton will have a place in the side next year, he was looking awesome during the preseason and I expect him to continue that form when he returns.
