Nup, just a sneaky one. The changes we have made so far just make me wonder.

I definitely heard some whispers early in the week that he rolled his ankle? I have no idea what to take of this though.

Is yours just an estimated guess/opinion or more than that?

You mean changes such as Byrnes in and Gamble out?

Not much more than an educated estimate at the thought process of the club to be honest.

My train of thought is Gamble back in for Ablett, which means we pretty much have the same structure of the previous two weeks, as Shag will attempt to fill in one of Abletts roles of linebreaker through the midfield.

My other thought is that perhaps they are trying a new forward structure altogether, as Hawkins, Mooney and Gamble tended to be a bit crowded...

Yeah I was thinking the other week the forward line looks to be a bit crowded. Nothing to do with the ability of the players but that is a pretty tall forward line.

Surely Ablett will still play if he is just sore, he is your most important player. Especially as you're playing a quite strong Pies side.

So no news about him being sore at all?

Crowded?????? Yeah? what is that suppost to mean.
Ah! that they just didn't get enough footy or kick enough goals, now I get it.
Look at the size of the Richond forwards Shultz, Morton, Riewolt, Richardson and the odd ruckman occasionally, gee we're so tall.:p

the team is at around 50%, shannon is at around 30% for his career.

DF you will note that GoGeelong used the words "at the moment". I don't think GoGeelong was suggesting anything other than the current state of affairs, not an ancient history lesson.

If you like at Shannon's last six games or so you'll see he is over 50% for that period as well.

You might have explained yourself twice but i am more interested in why you think Ablett won't play tonight.
I did not say Ablett won't play tonight, I said I had a 'sneaky feeling' he might be one of the guys that Bomber was talking about needing a rest.

Having said that, he will probably play and we will probably win.

As much as i have my usual cautious optimism going into the game and Collingwood have matched up on us well historically, surely there can't be a close to 100 point turn around between the NAB GF and now?
Sure, it was a practice match to a large degree but both teams went out to win.
I just don't think the Collingwood MF has the class and grunt it used to have with Buckley and even Burns.
All the tall marking forwards n the world are useless if you can't get it to them. And I think the tackling intensity that they produced in RD 9 last year is now considered a standard all teams need to meet weekly.
We just need to keep the crowd out of it and we should be good to go.

Fair enough, i have a sneaky feeling that there's nothing wrong with him and he'll definitely play. We'll win tonight and do it comfortably ;)

Selwood apparently rumoured to be struggling, any truth to that?

pretty sure he's a bit sore, not sure about struggling though. should play but may be a late withdrawal, who knows with the 5-day break?!

so, you dimiss his career as ancient history and then use his last 6 games (which happened to include his best game for the cats) as a guide?
