Mzungu's spoil on Darling in front of goal was quality. His work in close was good too.

I don't think Roberton fits in the side quite yet.

Mzungu dropped? Are people taking the piss??

I thought he was great.

Roberton did ok, I think we need to persist with this guy, he's shown enough to suggest he's got a future in our aging backline.

Johnson's survival in the side continues to baffle me, his refusal to act as a key position forward and putting all the pressure on Mayne is frustrating.

6 day turn around, thankfully we don't have to travel.
Would think after the Sydney game, and now a pretty taxing Derby it will be a light week on the track to help the boys recover for what is now a VERY important game for us!

Out : Griff (if injured), Suban (perhaps play as sub)
IN: Keps, Mellington/ Palmer

Also, can we please have someone pick up Cyril this time... PLEASE!

Johnson is a flanker, a tall lanky flanker, but a flanker nonetheless. He isn't a full forward's rectum. Kep or JA are full forwards kicking goals in the wafl, while we refuse to play a full forward. Mayne is not a key forward either.
Out: Johnson for the love of all things pure and good in the world
In: Kep/JA

In:
Bradley (Sandi if he is right), VanBerlo, Palmer

Out:
Griffin (inj), Duffield, Roberton

Please no. The guy is a good wafl player at best. All he can do is tag, but with Crowley, Mcphee and De Boer in the team he has no place.

Bradley should definitely come in to give us some forward structure. Don't think we should be pulling the trigger with Sandi if Griffin is out. Clark did reasonably well against Cox/Natanui for a half, and he won't have it anywhere near as tough against the Hawks. Kepler can pinch hit in the ruck if so.
Don't know what is wrong with Duffman, but his worse is probably as good as VanBerlos best.
If Mcpharlin doesn't play then Faulks should come in, with Silvagni given the job on Franklin. Ibbotson to get a second chance on Rioli.

Based on Duffield's form, JVB could come in and do a much better job at the moment, at least in terms of shutting down an opponent. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he comes in for the Duffman.

It will all depend on how Suban comes up, if Suban can't back up then Duffield will stay in.

Mzungu was way better than that moron Brades thought. Did Embley have an impact?

I'd drop Mayne. Doesn't have the bottle

Lot of love between you and Braeds at the moment. Appreciate the  in the last comment.

Mzungu shut down Embley. Did his job. Nearly killed DeBoer with a hospital pass, but certainly wasn't the only one sending ugly, looping hospital handballs around the place. Thankfully Matty is built from adamantium reinforced concrete, else he'd have been cut in half.

I would say Mellington is no chance to play as he had a barry crocker for Cardies on the weekend
Sandi,Kepdog,Palmer and maybe Bucavaz are chances to come in with Griffin unlikely,Macca ???? and Duffman under the pump

Faulks should come into the side to replace McPharlin. Silvagni will just have to take Buddy...

We need to have a flexible backline available against the Hawks. Failing to get the match-ups right last time killed us. They just rotated different players through their forwardline constantly and they always seemed to have a mismatch.

I said after seeing Suban play for Claremont last week that he was short of match fitness & needed 2-3 weeks in Wafl. I was proved incredibly correct. How can a novice see that from the sidelines & the Dockers coaching staff not? I just don't get it....Subes will always try his best but is a player that needs fitness in his legs to feature at Afl level....see how well he was doing prior to breaking his leg this year.

He is without a doubt in our best 22 so I just hope thenext week or 2 he doesn't damage our side whilst he obtains that fitness. I'd hate to see him line up on Rioli at any stage this coming weekend.

Anyway...with Luke now out for a week..

OUT: Griff (inj), Roberton (dropped), McPharlin (susp)
IN: Bradley, Bucovaz, Faulks

Faulks will clearly get a game now that Luke is out. Silvagni will play on Buddy. Faulks will be Plan B.

Bucovaz should be given a chance at Subi....either hbf or half fwd...whatever, he must play. Mellington would have been that player, but has played 2 average games in a row for West Perth whilst Buco is in form.

Re Roberton. His kicking execution is poor...sure, it's usually straight but his kicks are always too high & they allow the opposition to get to the contest & defend. He is providing very little run & although I did see him back into a few contests against Sydney, he was often caught in no-mans land against the Toasters. I'm worried for his development....I'd like to see him trialled at CHF for East Perth.

Need to snag this game against the Hawks. We can do it.

Hawks are not great road warriors.

Interesting call to replace McPharlin with Faulks if it happened. The Hawks aren't tall up forward. They like to run, so i'd be inclined to bring in a running player.

OUT: McPharlin, Duffield

IN: Pearce, Palmer

Uncertain: Suban and Mayne due to injuries.

Sandi was rated a 50/50 last week now 3 weeks ,WTF.

From memory, Sandilands was rated 50/50 by Harvey last week. The official injury list had him as a 2-3 week proposition. He's now listed as 2 weeks away.

It was supposed to be a 4 week injury, we're now in week 5. Either Harvey is right and the injury list is wrong, or Harvey is playing his usual games.

Spot on with your assessment of Suban
An past history proves it.
Hes been injured quite alot an struggled for weeks an weeks after coming back then finally starts playing to his ability an has everyone loving him.
Then gets injured again makes comeback an struggles for ages then comes good again.

Def seems like someone who struggles to just step right back in.
Never been able to do it in the past yet for some reason the coaches/selectors do not see this.
