Yeah I suppose it’s a question of when you decide enough is enough, bite the bullet and start making changes.

For me that point was last week. Two shocking losses in a row, and 11 straight quarters of unacceptable football going back to the Derby.

I can see why the match committee aren’t at that point, though. I’m more angry at the treatment of Brander. That’s my major gripe this week.

So under that definition, Masten gets away with blue murder when he
1. Refuses to tackle and corrals
2. Prefers the opposition to pick up the ball first so he can lay a tackle
3. Uses his one elite attribute to chase and close in

As with so many measures in life, you gotta see into the metric to know whether it is good or bad. It is as clear as mud.

If corralling counts as a pressure act our numbers must have been off the charts a couple of years back

Well technically its flag not flags so he should really have no problem.
But seriously our inability to make tough decisions and be a bit hard on the players when needed is hampering us this year. It's not necessarily Mitchell's coaching nous we're missing but the hard edge he brought to the team. We've looked soft for a fair chunk of the year.

pressure is vital to our game plan, no questions asked. What I see people question is the ability of pressure acts to effectively measure it.

How can we possibly know whether Allen is a “WAFL player at best” if he doesn’t get an opportunity to prove himself at the higher level?

If the Suns continue their poor decision making and turnovers i expect this game to get very ugly after the 1st quarter. Don't sell your boys short they did win the flag only half a year ago, i expect the eagles to win by a very decent margin. Good Luck but the Suns will need it more lol

Mallen is a beautiful kick but WAFL does give you more time to balance and deliver. Other than his kicking i have to agree that there wasnt a lot to inspire me.The thing i see least of is aggression.If youve got a bit of size and a bit of skill then a ferocious attack on the ball can waltz you up to the front of the selection queue.That line wasnt directed solely at Mallen by the way.I really cant understand why WC seem to give so little emphasis to tackling;and not just tackling but when to tackle.If you cant get a kick;get a tackle!!! If any player can come off the ground with 10+ tackles they have gone a long way to cementing a position.

Don’t need to excuse yourself, most of us here have no issue with oppo fans dropping in as long as you’re decent. We’re not like the purple guys down the road who report oppo fans the second they come in.
