Cole has to go out for Rotham. He's running around like a headless chook, can't get near the ball. Nearly had a shocker in the GF but pulled it back a bit. McInnis inclusion will annoy a lot but imo he might actually straighten us a bit up forward and would offer more than what young Allen has produced in the last few weeks. Fraser will also offer more in the ruck for us as well.

Hearing Simmo admitting we have a problem with contested ball (especially clearances) and getting the ball inside 50, the 1 stand out from WAFL on the weekend was MAllen. For those listing him as a half forward, NO. Straight to midfield.

Brayshaw got a lot of it but hasn’t got the composure of WAFL yet so some time off AFL.

Brooksby rucked well (again) and his follow up efforts in clearances looked like NicNat is coaching him.

Waterman was ok but importantly he has had a great response since being dropped and would offer much more than Venables (who based on WAFL form was not deserving of a recall).

Brander cannot be the scapegoat.

No idea what to do with a Darling. A year on from last year and he is back to fumbling, dropping sitters, shitting his pants and lacking a thirst for the contest. My wife is a psychologist and not sure all her desire to talk it through will help. I’m old school - I’d drop him to WAFL because I’m not sure he has ever had to really fight for his spot.

I feel a bit sorry for Cole, while he may not be in his best form, in games like the last two, your small defenders often get left looking like noobs, they are forced to leave their men to get to guys that a running free with the ball.

Swing Shuey half forward, he's a proven goal kicker and able to set up goal assists,
Get MAllen and Ah Chew in the guts and give them a chance to earn their spots, they will be hungry to prove themselves

I noticed on Saturday that he is not strong enough or consistent in the contest. He usually makes one effort to win the contest but then that is all folks.
