Placeholder until the official preview is released.

I would think we'll start favourites on our home deck.

Given some of our injuries, there could be a few outs this week, particularly Cox and Witherden. Barrett still hasn't impressed for mine and whilst Schache is horribly out of form I hope we preserve for our final games.

If Mayes is right, I'd be bringing him back in along with Harwood and Keays.

Mayhap Josh would be better served by being set for the ressies finals.

Agree with Barrett - either Rhino or Keays.
I heard that Withers may have just had a bad cramp. So if thats the case, hopefully he will come up.
So there may only need to be the 1 change.
Cox out - Mayes in.

Minimal changes for mine, hopefully Mayes back in for Cox.
Back Hippy and Schache to turn it around.

Bewick for Cox
Harwood for Barrett
Dawson for Schache

Bewick gets a run to reward NEAFL form and is capable of adding something to our team.

Barrett can't keep playing so poorly most weeks. Doesn't impact the game. Will need forwards that can be dangerous but also pressure Saad and their other small backs.

Schache still doesn't have any confidence and is totally incapable of taking a mark with the slightest bit of pressure. Replace with him a dangerous forward. Hopefully Dawson can pop up with a few marks and use it much better than Schache. Will need to apply a lot of defensive pressure though.

Hopefully Witherden is ok.

I like the changes except Bewick in, I know he was named in the bests but I went to the game and Bewick ran his heart out as he usually does but gee he butchered the ball on a fair few occasions.

Hoping that Mayes is good and comes in for Cox if he doesn't come up for the game, if we are going for an older in ah la Bewick I would go C.Beams he looked a level above NEAFL, if we go younger Corey Lyons.

Josh Clayton, Close, Hammelman have all shown excellent form in the NEAFL over the last 3-4 weeks.

Although I would really like to push for Michael Close, I think it would be a smart move to go with 2 talls (Walker, Hipwood) and a medium forward. Dawson is a seriously good mark and would give us a different look, not one we've tried much this year, except perhaps when Lester has played forward. I also agree with you re Bewick. He has run really well the last 2 weeks and Gold Coast's pace really cut us up in round one and nearly cost us the game. Harwood seems more flexible than Barrett and I'd go for that change too.

Guess we'll find out about Mayes on Tuesday.

Don't want Close in the seniors if we already have Walker. Close and Walker are too similar, they are both link up players that don't provide much of a scoring threat. If we want to kick a winning score, we need players who can contribute on the scoreboard, not just rely on midfielders the whole time; we need our forwards to do some work.

That was my thinking. Same as a mayes ing

Close and Walker are competing for the same role as the getout kick to a pack.

I think we need another forward, or 2, or 5, who are dangerous inside 50. Schache can't do this at the moment, Freeman is ordinary, Hammer has struggled at AFL level and Close doesn't do a lot close to goals. Hopefully Dawson can bob up for a few marks inside 50 and offer something at ground level.

Lads, we are gunning for your #1 draft pick. Will begin this weekend when your hard working young guns come up against our lazy, unmotivated mob.

You will do us by 5 goals easy. Love watching your team play.

We welcome you to switch back.

Harzy for Barrett,
Dawson for Witherden.

Like for like and two good ball users.

Why is everyone calling for Dawson? The only time I've seen him at AFL level he has offered next to nothing?

It's a good time of year to see where Dawson is at.

We already know what Beams, Bewick and Close et al bring to the table.

So which kid are you looking at in the draft?
