The unforced changes were a first gamer, and two with 21 and 43 games experience.

Now I admit 3 axed must be a record in the last five years but it could have (and should have) been more - particularly given the guys picked are experienced.

there is no statement here.

not with the outs, not with the ins.

the changes are weak.

Anyone actually beleive that Aaron Mullett is concerned that Loose McMahon is going to take his role long term?

It is a joke really. A not so funny one! Give somebody else a go FFS!!! 5 day breaks, injuries blah, blah, blah! We know what Wright and LA can do, and it aint much! No harm in giving somebody new a crack! Even as sub. My blood boiled when I read those changes!

The thing is everybody can make a reasonable argument for the changes that have been made and the ones that weren't.

The problem is that using the same criteria, this same argument never gets old does it?

Or does it?

Because pragmatically you can always find a reason to dial back the "ruthlessness" can't you.

Always.

The ins and outs are ok but for the love of god, if any week was to ever be the week for 5-6 changes, this was it (PLENTY of other clubs have done it after particularly poor performances).

Warren may have been stiff but 2 disposals is 2 disposals so understandable regardless.

Mullett and BMac however were a must but despite JZ's injury, Bastinac and Adams should also have made way for Dumont and , Wood / Harper (or ANY ******* ONE!).

Playing the Hawks should have carried little weight to save these 2, given how pitiful their output has been for some time now.

If Wood, Dumont, Hine and Harper were also on the injury list it could have been excused. As it stands though it's another predictably weak as p1ss selection effort, further enforcing the notion that you can be very, very poor week on week and get reprieve after reprieve.

Who is still wondering why don't get 100% effort?

Out: Jacobs
In: Sam Wright

You are not serious
No what is stupid is playing the same useless campaigners and expecting different results.

Get your head out if the sand, we currently have players who are not up to it, so playing a young player in their place is not going to be detrimental.

If a player deserves his spot he plays, age or the opponent is not a factor.
spot on dude.
Anthony & sammy will lift the confidence of the players.
Is this wa:£ of a coach for real.

It's your opinion dude and you're entitled to it.

I don't happen to agree with your assessment & I'm through crystal balling with this group as they are up, down and all over the place. All I care about is now these days, because there comes a time when you've served your apprenticeship, done the learning as you go thing, but now it's time to start delivering.

I've seen some North Melbourne sides with more grit than talent that achieved quite a lot, with very little & I firmly believe this group certainly fills the talent side ok but at this point in time, this group's mentally immature & mentally weak.
A bit too much like the Gunners over the last few years, you reckon? :p

Well we just knew it would happen. The most meh 4 changes you'll ever see. If wood kills it one more time it's an automatic exclusion and he just plays. We have a piss weak coach
Is Wood out of contract at the end of the year?

If so I wouldn't blame him if he told Brad to jam it and goes and seeks opportunity somewhere else?

Not sure what more he has to do to get a game, but one thing is clear it is harder to get out of this team than in.

Brad Scott is trolling us Big Footy foke, there is no other way to explain it.
Brad Scott is a shit coach, who is way out of his depth.

Perfect game this week to inject some x factor and have a real crack at the Hawks, but he seems more pre-occupied with trying to limit the defeat.

Spot on dude! La & sammy future of the kangaroos.

seriously Bastinac and Adams getting a game this week is damn right embarrassing. Those two need to pull their fingers out big time.

Also why the fudge have we brought in players who have failed in the past in McMahon, Wright and Anthony. McMahon has been in crap form the past few weeks and is more overweight than he was this time last year. Hine and Dumont and deserved a gig well before him.

Also we struggled with Brisbane's run off half back last week because we lacked pressure across the half forward line, Bring in harper or Wood to mix up our stagnant forward line….

This is probably the most frustrated I have ever been with the selection committee.

End of the day the 22 selected better pull there finger out tomorrow night and show some hardness on the big stage, not the crap they served against the cats on the Friday night weeks ago. Shut up and do

From Ziebell article on nmfc site
" Despite talking tough during the week with regards to a ruthless approach at the selection table, North's lengthy injury list has prevented Brad Scott from swing the axe too hard. "

LOL Damage control

we added three slow plodders. We will get the floor wiped with us tomorrow night. Watch Suckling, Hodge, Hill and Smith Run rampant unopposed for most of the night.

Anyone have the team from last years game against the hawks at etihad? Love to see a comparison.

Theres going to be one word being said tomorrow night. Slick. We are going to get massacred.
it will be a slow grind, and they'll run away with it in the last. can't see us being competitive for 4 quarters. it'll only take a 15 minute lapse and the hawks will hurt us so much worse than GC, richmond or brisbane did
