To be fair to Houli he was playing half forward in the first half when the ball hardly came down there.

He was great in the 2nd half, linking up on half back, on the wing and got it on half forward a bit too.

He is an outside player but he could become an elite outside player

Only player I'd say is in danger is Edwards. Can't believe people are bagging Nahas after that game. Was in our best half dozen.

Wouldn't be too surprised if there was no change for next week, but I'll say Edwards out for Tuck.

Nahas's 3rd quarter was great. One of the reasons we got back in the game. Not sure why he didn't go back in the guts in the last quarter.

Nahas on the ball was the move that got us in front. Poor coaching to not capitalise on that in the final quarter.

Anyway, Rance was absolutely useless. He makes Michael Laffy look good. Must be swapped for Thursfield at the first opportunity.

I actually thought rance was ok, a couple of brain fades, is a huge improvement from every time near the footy brain fade. The one in defence who is concerning me is Astbury , he has no ability in body on body contests, I'll tip he's replaced by Goo, or Thursty within a couple of weeks !

I think Astbury got better as the game went on. He's played how many games in his career? This is his second season. Give him a break, seriously.

Rance has been in far longer and his disposal is horrible. With Moore and Thursty other options, I think they'll be taking his spot quick smart.

Rance was actually pretty good tonight Tugga when it came to beating his opponents. His problem was not having the support around him which forced him to kick hurriedly which caused a turnover and a couple of times he was run down by Betts and he won't be on his own in that regard this season. Needs to learn to play to his limitations when it comes to taking off and trying to run the ball out and he'll be fine.

For those calling for Tuck, Hardwick said before the game that Tuck probably won't come in until say round 3-4 when a bit of the pace has gone out of the game. Still really lacking in his defensive aspects and has also lost a little bit of pace as well.

What's with all the hate towards Rance???

Apart from being caught holding the ball he showed great composure in the backline constantly mopping up when the ball hit the deck, I also didn't see him miss a target.

In fact our whole backline played exceptionally well considering the amount of ball that was coming there way.

I will say this though, I was very disappointed with Lids, one of our more senior players and dropped his head I thought, just wasn't his usual self.

Anyway we know he's a star and what he's capable of doing I'm sure he will left next week.

For me if these players are fit they should be in our best 22.

I couldn't get over how bad Edwards was though. Took some nice steps last year and just looked so lost tonight. Not sure of his stats, don't care, but that turnover in the backline was a disgrace.

Well stating "Rance is horrible" is weak, mate. At least construct an argument. Player bashing becomes very tiresome and Mods should be setting the example. Apologies if it was out of line.

Not so much tonight (although I thought he was good in the first half), but Vickery has proven you wrong. You had previously claimed he was incapable of showing anything which he has since countered. Most around here would concede he's tracking great for a young tall.

I thought Rance was good tonight. Had a brain fade when caught by Betts but bet his man most the night and saved a few goals with sheer desperation.

Mods may have just as much of a right to sling shit over players as everybody else but as they are supposed to maintain the standards of the place maybe they should try setting an example instead of descending to the lowest common denominator.

Did the people bagging rance actually go to the game or watch it at all?? I am not his biggest fan but his spoiling and defense tonight was awesome and one of our best. Some of you on hear are blind. He saved about give goals from my count..pull your flipping heads in the guy is 21 and finally showing something you don't become a Scarlett overnight you morons.

Edwards needs a rocket and should be replaced by someone. Harsh on Connors he spent all of 30 minutes on the ground.
