As of this moment in time what does Long do better than Mitchell other than being younger? Long had a great stretch early in the season but his last ~6 weeks have been ordinary. If Mitchell played like Long the last 2 weeks the “he’s done” crowd wouldn’t shut up about it. Instead now it’s “Mitchell is negatively affecting Long” even though Longs been average before Mitchell came in.

Just to clarify Long lacking composure could be both a Mitchell or a Pendles problem? I think it’s more likely that Long has always lacked composure and just got caught out last night…

Mitchell takes the spot that Long is best suited to which brings his lack of composure to the fore.

Not sure which of the 2 I'd persist with this year, but Long's youth is the big factor '26 onwards.

Pendlebury as a sub was a stupid idea. It was code for give him a rest, but let him notch up another game to reach the record sooner.
Last night showed we lack pace. I’d bring back Allan and give De Mattia a go. Steele is only average and so too is Sullivan.
