We are spending $10m on the football department and we can't hit the side of a barn, the players are symptoms of our problems, not the cause. We have often seen ordinary north players go to other clubs relatively recently and be closer to the player they should have been in an environment better suited to getting the most out of their ability.

Our development and coaching has just been too poor for too long. The guys you propose to come in have the same issues as the guys that you want to be replaced.

I'll be the skills coach. I can kick
off both feet.

All is ask is for a paper bag full of cash and a dozen hookers.

anyone who can't kick needs to go.

give a few games to mckenzie and harper see if we can't get something out of them before we move them on.

No point bringing in Forham he can't kick either.

Mullett + McDonald + Wood and Turner must play.

need to dump the triple towers bullshit. waite and daw out, play a more mobile forward line with Wood and harper up there. Brown and Petrie as the keys.

Thompson has to be due for a spell but not a lot of options. Waite is the wrong player, like to give Maj more of s chance but won't happen.

Need run and desperation, Fordham, Turner and Harper in. Perfect timing for Garner if fit.

You don't really need to have great skills, you just need to know what is a good skill level and how to improve on your skill level.

Fatigue and pressure lower the effectiveness of your skills, if you have great skill levels then when fatigued or pressured your skills dropped to good, when fatigued and pressured your skills drop to fair. When your starting point is fair, which is where we are at, then pressure and fatigue drop your skills to somewhere between poor to shitful.

If there's one thing I have learnt from coaching, it's that proficiency isn't attained by ignoring bad skill production.

Now Tas. You're correct in suggesting that our development and coaching has been poor for too long however could we really be any worse with the likes of Wood, Mullett, Turner, Harper, McDonald and Black playing seniors? At least we would have more pace in our line up. s**t we are slow!

Could we be worse? Yes.

It depends on what we want to achieve, if we want to punish those who under-perform then yes, it would punish them, would it improve our chance of winning next week? Unlikely, most of those players were in the side and playing just as s**t earlier in the season.

We just have too many mediocre footballers all over the park. We won the contested possessions 148 v 145, won the tackles 82 v 67, were only 1 short on clearances 43 v 44, dominated hitouts 67 v 33, had more disposals 369 v 339 and we were destroyed by almost 10 goals.

We just do not have the quality. The vast majority of our disposal while not clangers, do not give us any advantage and we just piss fart around with the ball until we turn it over.

Unless we address that problem, just shuffling the deck chairs on the titanic is pissing into the wind.

bring in wells. force him to play, if he doesnt wanna do the team thing and is thinking about himself then we dont need him. hes milking the club atm getting a nice pay day and sitting on the sidelines for it.

We need to mix it up.

FB: Mullett -- Tarrant--Thompson
HB: Wright-Petrie--McDonald
C: Dal Santo--Swallow--MacMillan
HF: Higgins-Hansen--Black
FF: Brown--Daw--Thomas
R: Goldy--Ziebell--Swallow

I: Jacobs--Dumont--Harper

Sub: Turner

In: Black, Mullett, McDonald, Harper, Turner

Out: Spud (past it), Waite (zero heart), Atley (zero mojo), Nahas (unlucky but our future), Gibson (not clean enough)

Hansen forward, Petrie back.

He should retire, played 7 home and away games in 2014 and has managed 2 this year, the last time Crocker talked about him he was 5-6 weeks away so at least another month, there is no point in him playing again given he is 30 years old and is having a lot of soft tissue problems which are keeping him out for most of the season.

We also need to push out a lot of the older players over the next two years, they give us ZERO leadership. We also need to recruit a lot of pure midfielders, the talent pool isn't deep but I think if we put some players on the market then we could get a bag full of second round picks, then just pick up as many of the better pure mids that played in the carnival, with a focus on the outside mids particularly and see which we strike some gold out of, there are always some decent quality players that are not rated during the draft, it is just hit or miss if the club gets them or not, we need to increase the number of picks we have and focus on the midfielders because we are devoid of talent and depth in this area and it is why our season has gone pear shaped.

We also need to resolve the extractor problem, Ben and Swallow are both playing the same role and are less effective than just one player playing the role, as sad as it sounds, we would probably be better off moving Swallow on, the bitter pill is that he will likely be a good player wherever he ends up for a few years, but we are putting the gun to Ben's career and he is a lot more valuable to us long-term. He goes from potential AA and B&F player to mediocre when both are fighting for the same ball.
