It's the polite way of saying "you're no good, but we don't want to drop you and hurt your feelings (because we might need you one day).
This trading by Richmond is almost “Rawlingesque”.

Hopper / 2 first round picks (current and future).

Taranto / pick 12 and 19.

2 slow plodding butchers occupying a lot of salary space.

One would think after last week there is no chance in hell that these forwards below could stink it up again this week.

Souva, Zuurhar, BGZ and Spargo. Need to see them contribute +11 goals as a group at a minimum. If Spargo is cut, then Dova/Kont chip in 2-3 goals as part of that +11.

Richmond have given up 15 goals a game and 30.4 scoring shots per match. Need to take advantage and dine out on them this week to keep our % healthy.

Not mentioned there. They have about 3 names in there that look made up. Peucker, Retschko, Hayes-Brown.

A lot of their 2025 intake are injured and just can’t get on the park, or are just shite at this early start of their career.
Weird how other clubs manage players.. managed means not in emergency list

It was afternoon and you really need to get over yourself if you think an incorrect disposal of minimal consequence will haunt you for the rest of your life

Or you are taking the piss
It was the moment all the goodwill was sucked out of our day and week. You just can't have your senior blokes making such terrible mistakes.

Each to their own, of course.

The Tigers team is diabolical. No excuse not to win by 30+.
I guess what most are worried about is a drop off in our endeavor. Come with the same intent to defend and pressure we have shown. Yes we can win by 30 plus. The WC game showed that when we relaxed and gave them a sniff, it opens the floodgates

I wish Clarko would be just more direct in answering some of the soft ball questions tossed up to him.

Reporter: “Richmond on paper look weak and have not won a game. You go in favourites.”

Clarko: “3 minute diplomatic word salad of nothing.”

Real Clarko: “We are aiming to crush a side with no confidence, 0 wins, lots of injuries and do a real number on them. Anything less than 10 goals would be a major disappointment for this club!!”

RICHMOND will unveil Patrick Retschko for his AFL debut against North Melbourne on Sunday at Marvel Stadium.

The lifelong Tigers fan was traded from Geelong for pick No.99 at the end of last season after initially being delisted by the Cats following a season on the rookie list.

Retschko is considered to have elite endurance and running ability, clocking a 6.09 time for the two-kilometre time trial in the 2024 Draft Combine.
