Yeah but na....Out - McMillan (shouldn't have even been playing)
In - Wood (100 times upgrade on McMilllan)
Were you watching on the TV or live? Because if you were at the ground you wouldn't be saying he holds his spot. Mason wood is 10 times the footballer McMillan is. He played loose on the wing tonight and still couldn't impact the game.Yeah but na....
JMac holds his spot.
I watched this one at home (broke my heart) however I maintain that he played well. Mason Wood has potential and will play a whole lot of games, just not at the expense of JMac.Were you watching on the TV or live? So long as the ball is in the air. Add Spud and Tarrant to the mix and we can look very slow when the ball is on the deck and in dispute.Petrie to play down back , he and Hansen create a unbreakable wall
With Atley out of form and no Mullet I don't think we can drop Luke.IN: Wood, Daw
OUT: McDonald (omitted), Brown (inj)
With Atley out of form and no Mullet I don't think we can drop Luke.
This. He's a second year player and he's already one of our best one on one players. He just very rarely gets beaten in a one-on-one contest, which is remarkable when you consider some of the players he beats. His kicking is a serious concern but hopefully with experience that will get better. I would be dropping Atley before McDonald; he just seems off his game at the moment and hopefully a few games in the 2's would encourage him to take his game to the next level. I doubt Scott would drop Atley for one of Wood or Dumont for the trip to Perth though. Those who are deriding McDonald's game didn't focus enough on the crucial one on ones he won.
I've been critical of him for his wayward disposal, and that still needs to be fixed up, but he was more than solid in the clinches tonight.
Out: Waite (I think they'll give him a week, ball hadn't arrived yet, was clumsy)
Waite should be fine, but I want Wood back in. I'd even be tempted to give Waite the week off anyway. Freo's defence is pretty damn tight, playing them is never a happy day for big forwards. Whereas we're going to need Wood's ability to run all day and become an extra midfielder. He needs to play.
HahahahahahahahahahahagagahahaOut: Gibson, MacMillan, Brown (inj)
In: Dumont, Wood, Turner
FB: Jacobs - Tarrant - Hansen
HB: Wright - Petrie - Firitto
C: Atley - Thompson - McDonald
HF: Harvey - Wood - Thomas
FF: Ziebell - Waite - Higgins
R: Goldstein - Swallow - Dumont
I/C: Cunnington - Bastinac - Turner - Nahas
Thompson to go with Mundy/Fyfe.
Yeah Atley for Wood would be about it.Atley has to go.
If Gibson wasn't dropped before last night, he certainly won't after being in the top half dozen for us.Cheers. I was working through the first half, so will watch that tomorrow. Second half though, he was very good, as he has been for the past few weeks of the year. Actually, he hasnt had a bad game. Has some issues, but so do all the players on our team!! If Dal and Wells come back, then I would think that several players are then under the pump. Namely, those guys who cant hit targets. Gibson for mine, is one to be looked at, as is Bastinac, and several others. Im sure Jacobs would also be in the mix, BUT, if he keeps doing what he is doing, then he jumps ahead of a few too!
