Glad I wasn't alone.
Fullarton played his role. Didn't set the world on fire but for his first senior game in about 3 years, he did enough to stay in.
I'm ok if Fritta comes back though. Maybe for Melk as a third tall? Equally, don't think it's a bad thing if he (and JVR) stay in the VFL for a while longer.

The Magician played in the backline apparently yesterday. Constantly trying to turn defenders into forwards and forwards into defenders, meanwhile I think JVR might benefit from a switch but we keep him forward. We are so weird.
Why the **** would we use a first round pick on Jeffo, give him 2 years honing his craft as a forward, only to decide to play him as a backman because he hurt his hand?

Fritsch got his hands on the ball a bit from what I watched yesterday when it did go forward. JVR looked off even VFL level

I'd like to see Jeffo back in the seniors some time (I liked what I saw) but it needs to be back off some actual FORWARD form in the VFL. I also don't mind trialling JVR up back in the VFL.
This is what I'd like to see eventually, just to see how it goes:
Forwards: Jeffo, Fritsch, Petty (can't believe I'm typing this), Chin, Pickett, Spargo.
Backs: JVR, May, Lever, Rivers, Bowey, McVee
Or swap JVR and Petty if they actually show form in their preferred positions.

And for the record I still see Petty as a long term full back, but I'm a little sucked in right now at seeing a forward actually leading for the ball yesterday. It was such a breath of fresh air.

Fullerton is s* but we need one of him, Johnson or JVR playing to ruck relief. So he probably gets another game. I like the May for Turner and McVee for Sharp suggestions. I wonder how Fritta would have gone against Freo. More free flowing, more space to work in. Anyway, I reckon he and JVR need to bang the door down to get back in. Wouldn't be surprised to see Fritta straight back in.
