Interesting times. I'll be reading your rabid praise with interest. I'm pretty intrigued by who your next targets are going to be. This year suggests to me that you've got a bit a sick of picking off the coltish easy targets like Darcy, but I'm not convinced that your powers are strong enough for a clydesdale like Mihocek (perhaps Dunn was a practice run) or the veteran stayers like Sidey and Pendles (I reckon you've been having a crack at him for years, but he keeps soldiering on).

I believe Stevo was first in forward pressure in the comp last year, not sure if thats dropped off this year. Elliott started his career with big tackle games but that has certainly dropped away.. not sure what his pressure stats are like but I would be surprised if they were above average

If you have another one, don't teach them numbers, then you can easily fool them about their birthday and ensure it never falls on a day you don't want it to.

That kid's a god-send.

Changed the whole dynamic last season.

His difference, his play, his X factor, was the second NGOs biggest difference maker to us last season.

In my opinion his recruitment was a mega catalyst for us.
Sometimes you get the blessings (like getting Grundy).

He's just waiting for you to improve the Saturday arvo Avengers offer with pre or post movie activities/treats. Kids these days just instinctively know how to screw the utmost benefit out of these circumstances. In my day, I'd have just been flogged and threatened with a drop off at the orphanage for contemplating anything could be better than watching Collingwood.

I dunno, it's a forum man. People are going to want to chat about the game which includes bringing in the best cattle (in their minds). I don't see a problem with it. Changes thread and preview thread should be one and the same imo.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised on Friday night.

I get your angst with Reid but when I saw him drill a 50 metre pass off one step to Daicos to win us the game I thought to myself........thats the Reid I remember.

He has been good he deserved to be next cab of the rank.

Still view him as a VFL Bully at this stage.

Nothing I've seen of him at senior level in the last 12 months warrants any kind of excitement at his inclusion.

Or, its just discussing the ins/outs of a team with a good deal of depth, who are in the premiership window - which means competition for spots is hot & won't allow for poor individual performances to be often justified....

And JDG of those lays the most tackles, really want Stephenson and Elliot to lift there defensive output. I don’t think Stephenson far off his first VFL run.

There is absolutely no player in the VFL team currently with an output that is worthy of replacing Stephenson. Honestly, sometimes I read these threads and it seems like people want changes for the sake of it...
