Hibbo is already ruled out with injury.

Howes is way too light to play as a proper defender at AFL level.

With his current level of physical development at AFL level he’s a winger only, or if desperate due to mass injuries in the backline as an attacking half back flanker for mine.

Didn't exactly get the feeling that Brown is an automatic in this week. Just said that he just needs to get through today's session and in general he can fit JVR, McDonald and Brown together.

If he does play then I doubt it's at the expense of JVR. They'll give him a good stretch of games because right now he's willing to crash packs and do the defensive stuff when the ball hits the ground.

I'm more curious to see whether James Jordon gets a gig back in the 22.

Yeah even the bit about "We can play three talls" is a bit of a nothing statement. Goodwin has always made vague and broad statements about our plans and the way we play. It's why his pressers are so boring.

Our plan from the get go this year was to have two permanent key forwards and Gawn playing the utility role. Don't think anything has changed there as until Gawn comes back we'll usually be going with three forwards and having them rotate through the ruck to relieve Grundy. We haven't gone any shorter than that once this year.

This week I would hope we go in smaller considering the weather but we won't know until the team comes out tomorrow.

I can see Laurie being sub. He's not getting in ahead of Chandler, ANB, Spargo or Koz. I think he's going to have to bide his time. I like JJ in the team as he's the one mid who has a defensive mindset. Sparrow I guess is the other who could be vulnerable.
