Will Brodie for Jack Watkins
Will Lorenz for Wehr
Cochrane for Anastasopolous or Moraes

So basically Willy and Coc* all around, plus hopefully some balls to go with them.

1 picking a fight at the start of each match to make the players care, in for apathy.

We are suddenly a realising possibility of the wooden spoon
I just don’t see a world where we finish below Richmond and Essendon. I know we’ve been bad the last two weeks, but I still think we will be 50/50 against Roos, Saints, Crows, and better than even odds against Giants and Dons.

Recency bias will wipe the optimism of the run against Hawks, Dogs, Cats but we’ve seen enough to be confident we can grab another 2-3 wins this year and that will be more than the aforementioned bottom two will muster.

Jones / Mead / Tommy C. / Walsh

Olllie simply done. There is no replacement but Mead.

Tommy C. Did nothing on the SANFL this week but let it slide he’s had enough work into the hamstrings that’s all he needs to start. Tommy A 100% game time 3 pressure acts 29 metres gained. Haven’t given up but go back to the SANFL and think about it.

Farrell played 3 minutes of the last quarter he’s either injured or going to get an absolute rocket.

Want to give Walsh a run but will are stuffing Todd around at present Whitlock might need a week off but we have the bye.

A few thoughts as an outside observer.

I'll wait to see who we pick up in the MSD before speculating on all the Ins.

Wehr and Watkins must have their cards marked. I think I'd rather see Mead in the side over both and that's saying something.

It will he interesting whether whatever is going on with Wines will come to light over the next two weeks and if we can get him right in that timeframe.

Marshall should stay in over Visentini. Cops a lot but I think he should be allowed to re-settle as a forward. It might take some heat off Georgiades and young Whitlock. I don't see Visentini offering much.

I'm very wary of bringing in Tommy Cochrane straight in, particularly on a hard Optus Stadium surface and after another fortnight gap between games (thanks SANFL). Already missed 12 months of footy. Risk vs reward isn't worth it IMO. Look after the lad.

I'd be interested about the reasoning for not picking Brodie, especially since Carr wanted him? I get that having all of Brodie, Wines and Drew in the same side would leave us pace challenged (and perhaps the reasoning is that simple), but neither incumbent has justified being an automatic pick. Wines playing 60% of a game (45% v Carlton) increases the pressure on a struggling midfield - not sustainable.

Don't think Josh will take last night's performance lying down, but I was very disappointed to see Wehr recalled for Lorenz without having to earn his spot back. I didn't see the point. And unless someone comes in and puts in a real stinker, they shouldn't be dropped after one game, especially for the likes of Wehr.

Yeah that glory run of 1 win in a row probably has faded the optimism due to the fact it’s been our only win in 7 weeks.

We would be far less than 50/50 in all those games besides the dons.

Each to their own but imo Todd is now solely defence. He looks scared of contact, let him float around in defence and

use his elite kicking. It's all pretty sad but understandable. Might need to consider life after footy at season's end.

We can't go on indefinitely the way things stand atm especially as he's contracted I think 'til '29 ?

In two weeks we most likely will be and bottom 4 by next weekend.

It’s all a bit of a shock to me, I just didn’t think we would be this bad.
This will be unpopular here but 3-8 isn’t a fair reflection of the footy we have played this year imo even as shit as we were last night. But reality is we are 3-8 and we find ourselves 14th.

I don’t like the tanking talk and we definitely aren’t tanking but there’s no benefit in finishing 9th or 10th compared to 13-16th with the current list we have. We need access to the draft. Hopefully after the bye we can start to play some better football that can give us hope and optimism going into the next few years.

I’ve only been to two games this year and it was the west coast and Carlton games, so from what I’ve seen live 3 and 8 flatters us and it’s hard to see where we get our next win.

Absolutely no chance of finishing 9th or 10th. More of a chance of finishing 17th or 18th. I don’t think we need to worry about tanking or getting picks because even when we are trying to win we can’t. If we start to deliberately tank that’s when we will probably win.

It was always on the cards, we exist on a razors edge bordering on a bottom 5 side or an average side just making it into the ten. The diff being any injuries to our few quality players. Its time to accept reality and rebuild the depth in the list. I cant see the dial moving much for about 4 years. Thats how long to get some quality kids in and get 50 games into them.

I can’t wait that long. At this rate I won’t be renewing my membership.

I get that thinking, but prefer avoid playing him down back for similar reasons.

Yes, his best asset is his kicking, so perhaps he could straighten us up in front of the sticks.

I guess it's not a dealbreaker because sadly you're right about his career prospects.

A shame because his '22 season suggested he might be set for a decent career.
