Actually you don’t play two rucks full stop in 2025.

Personnel should dictate that. If you have the players to pull it off, why not? There could be three even. It’s just a matter of whether it improves or harms the team.

Would definitely have mead as sub but we all know Liddy will be.

Moraes (R2), Cochrane (R3), Atkins (R6), and Jackson (R11) have all debuted as subs this season.

The only exception so far is Berry (R1).

Looking at the bench, if Liddy isn't sub, it'll be Jackson, unless they're demoting Mead to sub rather than dropping him.

Of course, late changes could change that. Surely they don't bring Moraes back, who's in need of a full game, and then make him sub.

Also if Boak was ruled out due to being sick this week, why is he an emergency?

Moraes played a full SNAFL game v Eagles yesterday.

The club has reported it.

"Hinkley returned to the training track on Saturday morning after being a victim of a flu bug that claimed others in the football department and AFL squad at Alberton this week."

Surely with the flu he should be quarantined for at least 11 weeks?

I was going in to bat for Mead a month or so ago when he was getting 15-20 touches a game and going at around 80% efficiency. But the guy has been a passenger since then. The reluctancy of the coaches to drop him, especially when they're not playing guys like Lorenz, is indicative of the lack of accountability at the club.
Yup, I'm the same. I defended him strongly as he was playing a good role - but his last 4-5 weeks have been really average.

Bit better today though

He's been struggling with his back for years. He's still been telling the Club he's got so much left to give.
He played well against the Giants. He still has what it takes, it's just about consistency.

I think he's had a solid season, and he started it really well. Bit of a blip in the middle though but hopefully coming out of it.
