I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago. This current forward line is by some distance the worst we have had in the AFL era. In fact it is the worst I can remember in my 45 odd years following the team.
We have guys that chip in with a couple of goals upfield most games.
MG is basically a 3 goal a game player at best because he normally misses a couple of easy ones.
To be honest our goal kicking is parkland stuff at times.
That has to change next year somehow.

Finlayson at his absolute worst is still better than Sweet/Visentini/Soldo as a second ruck

No, Finlayson should never represent the club again.

Jake Neade
Sam Gray
Jed McEntee
Jackson Mead

Moraes stiff :(

Mead should be out, Mead would have likely sprayed or not made the distance for the goal Moraes kicked. I haven't seen a bloke carried as much as Mead since.... McEntee.

Dixon was elite, his biggest problem was a second rate coach who’s entire game plan revolved around bomb it long to Dixon whilst he gets double teamed.
Dixon was never elite. One AA season in 9 years at Port is not elite. He only led our goalkicking 3 times in the 9 years we had him.

He was by far the best we had over that period, but he was nowhere near as good as you make it out.

Didn't Boak sit out as much of the last quarter v GWS as Finlayson who was subbed out?

Not keen on the rucks as forwards, even if it is going to be wet and they are to bring the ball to ground. I wouldn't be overly surprised to see Esava play forward, Melbourne's tall forward options are limited.

Some overating of Melbourne happening around the place they are 5 wins like us and like us they are just average and often struggle to run out games. I see us getting over the line by a goal or 2
You would think that if you hadn't watched them.

They've been quite competitive in a number of their losses - they're not as off the pace as we've looked in our losses.

I'm not saying they're formidable, but what we've brought to games this season won't see us win.

IF last week was the start of something -then we have a chance. Otherwise, we're cooked.
