Pretty clear that Mead, Finlayson, Burton, Sweet should be on the chopping block.
Unfortunately, you either left with Berry or Mackinlay to take Mead’s spot, Aliir has no chance of playing Thursday which leaves either Evans or Lai to play if Burton got omitted, Sweet and Finlayson shouldn’t have been picked, however there are no talls apart from Lord and Whitlock and Lukoisus will be underdone if selected.

Honestly most of the changes we want won’t happen because the muppets are running the show but since I think I have a capable brain that could handle selection better than the muppets in charge this is what I would do with the selection.

Yes I know half of these changes won’t happen. Visentini and Sweet won’t both get dropped but Soldo preformed reasonably well against De Koning last year so we may as chuck him into the ruck since he can go forward and play solidly down there.
I heard the King Muppet aka Sir Kenny get asked about in his post game press conference if the forward line structure is a concern for him and he responded with he has thought about moving Esava down forward again this season but he’s been playing too good down back but if Aliir is back then you may as well just do it. Yes Esava has been playing amazing down back but we can cover him down back not so much up forward so yep moving Esava forward.
Just rip the bandage off and play Lukosius. He cannot be any worse than Finlayson. Yes he won’t be at his best but just roll the dice and see how he performs.
Yep I’ve jump the bullet and I’m debuting Whitlock. Yeah it’s a pretty tall forward line but we always bomb it in there so may as well try and make it and kick a winning score
I know Byrne-Jones is Kenny’s love child but what is he actually out there for? Forward pressure and tackling? I was trying to make an selection statement and Byrne-Jones was the guy who I thought deserved the axe.
Joe Berry, Hugh Jackson, Will Lorenz and Logan Evans. Just give them game time. Yes Logan has had an off year by his standards but please back him in. He is 100% a better option than Lazy Ryan Burton. Hugh Jackson is just a better footballer than Mead. No doubt about that. Give him time to develop. He’s a player worth giving 20-40 games into. Lorenz as well. I don’t know what crazy thing he did in the off season to make Ken never pick him but he deserves a solid crack at it. Yep Berry hasn’t been eye catching since debuting but play him deep forward and see what he could create. Play Willie higher up the ground and then rotate Willie into some centre bouncers. Otherwise Liddy is a bit of a harsh dropping but he’s a player worth keeping. He’s got potential just play him in the magpies to help him understand our system better if we even have a system

Let's bring in a 3rd ruck and see what a triangle of doom can achieve. Maybe we can get 25 hitouts and 10 possessions between 3 players instead of expecting a mere 2 players to shoulder that load

Much rather we give games to younger players for the rest of the year. Would love to give Lai a shot for the rest of the year too. Even wouldn’t mind throwing in Charleson to see what he can do at AFL level.

It would be best if we leave Ratugolea down back and give him real confidence in his game and then think about other options.

Jackson I would like to get a run but Mead has something on pretty much everyone and isn't getting dropped.
The obvious ones in if fit.
Luko gets sanfl fitness ( progressive loading) rather than risking injured.

I'd be looking at outing Burton, Mead, Sweet, Finlayson and to a lesser extent, Liddy.
You would have to seriously look at Lorenz, Lai, Evans, Whitlock and Berry.

You have to improve the midfield mix, changing the supporting flankers is going to make all that much of a difference.

Just bring Luko straight back in. Who cares about SANFL time in that joke of a league. Sydney brought Gulden and Papley back with zero game time in the reserves and it was a non issue.

Putting Ratagolea foward is actually the stupidest thing anyone could do, not even hinkley is dumb enough to do that, why take out someone who is playing like a top 5 key defender in the leaugue this season and put them forward in a position they couldnt kick a goal in for the last 7 weeks of 2024 season???
Also i dont ever want to see jeremy Finlayson in a port Guernsey ever again

Sweet and Vissantini are as useless as each other, Viss may become good in the future but for the now we do not have a serviceable AFL Ruckman.
