Yeah, I watched the clip of the incident and BT was actually defending Visentini while the other commentator was trying to crusify him, "he chose to bump!".

On Fox, all the commentators were in agreement that Vis held no blame, and shouldnt get any charges laid against him. They felt he was clearly turning back thinking to receive the ball when Saad runs into him.

Luko played good, but I think another game in the SANFL and he'll be ready to play the Eagles at Adelaide Oval the following week.
16 disposals, 12 marks, a couple of goals and several goal assists tells me he's more than ready to ready to come back to the top team. Nothing to be gained by making him play another game down in the SANFL imo.

Wines is the opposition midfielder that gets 15 touches while Bergman runs off him and gets 30 and a couple goals. Can't we just move on? Brisbane Collingwood and Geelong don’t need a Wines.
In saying that, if Wines (and Allir) played against Sydney, we just might have won.

But yeah when the game opened up a few years ago, to be a premiership midfield, speed and quality of kicking became more important then the bulls.

I reckon to be a premiership side only one of Wines and Drew should be getting a game, but you gotta have better players for the wings, or half forward then what we have had. Losing Amon was pretty bad for us.

Part of Collingwoods success is that Pendlebury and Sidebottom vs Wines and Boak, have way more influence in the modern speedier game.

Id probably do Liddy and Jackson out for Wines and Luko with Jackson as sub seeing as he clearly goes hard for 2 quarters.

FB ALIIR BZT ESAVA
HB FARRELL SINN ROZEE
C BOAK WINES BURGOYNE
HF RIOLI LUKOSIUS SPP
FF GEORGIADES VISINTINI JHF
FOLL SWEET BUTTERS BERGMAN

INT JONES DREW DBJ RICHARDS

SUB
JACKSON

Sweet main ruck Vis forward ruck rotating not using Wines as ruck. Let Luko float more up the field and Georgiades deeper. Good having Vis as extra tall and Luko too helping Georgiades put pressure on Lions defence.

That's Liddy and Evans out, not Jackson

No to Boak on the wing. He showed on Thursday night that his inside game is still very good. So let's leave him there or put him as part of the midfield rotation. He's slow on the wing and often doesn't make the right decisions with his kicking on the wing.

I'd probably go with Visentini and Evans out for Luko and Wines with Liddy as sub.

Esava can share part-time ruck with Wines. Sweet is a better tap ruckman and if we want to have any chance of winning then we need to get ascendency in the centre bounce. So Visentini sadly misses but could come straight back in the week after.

Keep Esava down back. Don't want him part time rucking.

Visentini can take a mark up forward. Luko can replace Liddy.

Exactly. Sav doesn't need more put on him ALTHOUGH when he rucked in defence whilst Vis stayed up ground ready, worked but that's as far as he should go. Sav can definitely ruck but he doesn't need more put on his plate

Both Pendlebury and Sidebottom play like they have no problem with the speed of the game. Their footwork and ability to sidestep opponents, shrug tackles and scythe through small pockets of space is remarkable. Then there’s the elite handball and kicking skills they have - both sides of the body - and their clean handling of the footy even under pressure. Unfortunately Wines and Boak are nowhere near them.

Never leaving Melbourne and recovering on a plane , would be nice

I didnt even know Sweet was playing tbh. 6 touches lol
He attended 24 centre bounce ruck contests - what game were you watching?!
I was actually referring to him going ok at the ruck contests, not what he does with the ball around the ground though. TDK was not a major factor in the game, and Dante spent most of his time up forward, so Sweet did well in nullifying him.

and Wines is often the midfielder that stops the opposition from running out of the centre bounces the other way.

We smashed Carlton in the middle, but if you watched the Sydney game, you'd see exactly why we need Wines.

Pendlebury and Sidebottom can kick

You're Wines obsessed. The only surprising thing is you didn't manage to involve Rozee in this discussion too.
Powerade is funny because he constantly shits on Wines and DBJ for their (to be fair, not insignificant) flaws but then loves Drew and McEntee who are just worse versions of Wines and DBJ.

I wonder if Richards is under any selection pressure. Fumbles a heck of a lot, miskicks a lot including blowing multiple opportunities last week. He has been ok, but i could see him as a small chance to make way for Luko if we were to stay with 2 rucks.

I hope 1 ruck drops out though.
