The season is over. Much more to gain giving Bergman another 7 games as a midfielder, or at least a midfielder/defender, if that's his position in 2026.

We should be playing to win each week.
This is the culture we need to get back to , it’s not like a tap you can turn on and off.
Players just can’t go through the motions one year and everyone fired up next year just because the coach is changed.
Us as supporters can check out but the players are paid to perform each week.

When has playing an under 25 team ever been beneficial. The suns botched their entry in the afl by trying that but gws had much quicker results by mixing youth with some experience.

At some point you need some senior players to guide all these young guys on field. Not saying I disagree with you re not playing Boak, more that there has to be balance. Losing SPP and replacing him with Liddy, Lorenz, Jackson, etc makes us younger and less experienced. So maybe Boak gets another game because of that?

He’s taking games away from youth.

I don’t get to see the SANFL games but reading the gameday threads each week there doesn’t seem to be any of the youngsters screaming to be picked to replace Boak.
Shouldn’t be looking to gift games to players based purely on the basis of their age.
Everyone here is aware of Boaks shortcomings and he is a popular target nowadays but as a few have said his experience and guidance are still valuable assets.
