As cooked and useless as he was at the end, at least he could have sidled up next to Willie bodyguard-style and offered some protection from what is no doubt coming if he plays on Saturday night.

Can't recall too many Crom seeking him out for a wrestle in the melee after the Houston bump last year.

We need Rioli to play, who gives a shit what he said on the field 12 months ago. Come out and play a blinder, that is the best way to move past this.

If we suspend him or he takes time away that just delays this further, people will talk about it for longer, until he eventually returns, i reckon just front up and face the music this week. It won't be that bad.

The Crows players aren't going to target him, why would they? What's he done to them? Maybe to put him off his game? But i don't think they will want to poke the bear or draw any unnecessary attention away from simply winning the game of footy they are expected to.

It's a port home game too, i honestly don't think the Crows supporters would have the balls to have a crack at him and hurl abuse at him besides a few imbeciles.

The message to Rioli should be channel your frustrations like you did against Hawthorn in the semi final last year. Let's fckn go.

I disagree. I think we underestimate how soft the modern day football player is. They are nowhere near as ruthless as they once were.

It’s gone beyond a few niggles to get under the skin of Willie so he gives away frees.

The mental health stuff has been firmly put on the agenda and every interaction with Rioli will be under the microscope.

Now they are all well aware if they say something to fire up Willie their provocative actions will also be scrutinised.

I don’t think the modern day footy player wants to be the guy that went out of their way to provoke a mentally fragile aboriginal into a on field breakdown.

I still see no reason why he shouldn’t be playing.
