Dylan Williams plays Rioli’s role. Give him a shot where he actually played when he got drafted. Last chance for Williams.

[PLAYERCARD]Ryan Burton[/PLAYERCARD] to play centre half forward. Yes he is only 191cm but just get the ball in his hands 55-60 metres out then he will roast it. Yes he’s lazy but different role might suit him who knows. Last chance for Burton as well.

Jack Whitlock isn’t ready but jump the gun and give him a chance. Kicking goals in a shit SANFL team shows that he knows how to kick goals unlike [PLAYERCARD]Jeremy Finlayson[/PLAYERCARD].

Hugh Jackson has been on the list since the end of 2021 just give him a few games to see if he’s going to take that next step and if he doesn’t then at least we gave him a shot rather than just leaving him in the SANFL all season. Can’t be any worse than Jackson Mead. If Jackson Mead didn’t have the mead name then he wouldn’t be anywhere near the AFL team. There I said it.

Benny Barrett and Tom Anastasopoulos are not ready but if you get 70 touches in 5 games as a small forward in a useless SANFL team then give him a shot. Same with Tom Anastasopoulos. Only played 3 games but has 50 odd touches from those 3 games so give him a shot. They can’t be any worse than DBJ who isn’t a small forward. The experiment worked for 1 year Ken/Carr but he isn’t a natural forward. I thought Ken’ love affair for [PLAYERCARD]Steven Motlop[/PLAYERCARD] and [PLAYERCARD]Todd Marshall[/PLAYERCARD] was bad. There’s zero evidence that Byrne-Jones actually brings anything to the forward line at the moment.

I would bring Josh Sinn straight back in but from what I gathered from the games he has played he is slow and doesn’t tackle so I would rather him than Atkins but Atkins has been getting 30 touches a game at SANFL level so give him a shot for 3 weeks then if he is not doing good then swap him for Sinn after his wake-up call.

Drew, Byrne-Jones, Sweet and Finlayson are the big calls at selection I’ve made. Drew has gone backwards this season and he needs to find form. Yes he’s in the leadership group but that shouldn’t mean anything. If you aren’t getting 20 touches a game as a midfielder then get back to the SANFL get some confidence and come back in a few weeks with a point to prove.

Sweet has been crap this year. Dante has been dominating the SANFL. We need to see if these younger players have what it takes and if we don’t give them a shot then what are we actually asking them to do. Get destroyed in the SANFL, ruin their confidence ect.

Ratugolea to second ruck when Dante needs to rest. That’s why Zerk-Thatcher is in. When Esava is in the ruck we won’t be too small down back against Walker, Fogarty and sometimes Thilthorpe but hopefully he’s rucking against Esava when that happens.

Play Rozee 70% forward and 30% midfield. Give him the old [PLAYERCARD]Robbie Gray[/PLAYERCARD] role.

Would love to see Boak wear the bars one last time but his back is screwed. I know some of you don’t think he’s a legend but when you play for as long as he has hopefully he gets a send off like Gray did. Probably should’ve retired last year but it is what it is.

Play Wines deep forward swap him with Rozee and Horne-Francis. Defenders will struggle to contain Wines with his strength. Powell-Pepper should be in the midfield rotations as well but can’t figure out who else to play forward if SPP went into the midfield rotations.

Always have one of Rozee, Zak or Hornet up forward and in the midfield. Just do something a bit different we’ve all seen it happen before just give us something different to enjoy at the footy. Yes Ken, Koch and Richo have ruined the club long term but bring back the energy. Horne-Francis and Butters are the only ones that look like they give a crap about winning. I don’t care if we lose just bring back the excitement about watching our footy team.

My rant is over. I’m done. Feedback would be awesome. I’m new to bigfooty but I do write down team changes every week but would like to know what other moves we could make but yep nothing will change and that’s frustrating. When Carr takes over nothing will change still but hopefully the hard edge returns to this club but I doubt it.
