The Crows are also a very big side. Lots of taller and bigger bodied players than us. In contested conditions that could be a boost.Keep hearing rain helps us but aren’t we like one of the worst contested and ground ball teams in the comp.
It stifles the crows counter attacking transition and hitting leads in their F50 with their 3 talls, but overall we are a poor wet weather team.

Aww diddums they might get muddy. Will be interesting to see what the ground looks like after 2 games in a row in the conditions we're expecting. Perfect recipe for the old school mudpit, and the exact reason why Curtain raisers have been absent from footy for a long while.
Get him to tag all game. Thats all he can do & thats all he should do.mcentee is as good in the wet as he is in the dry. Not even Lachie Neale can stop him.
Why are the Crows bigger bodies than us. When we had Burgess we looked like greyhounds. Most of our players still do.The Crows are also a very big side. Lots of taller and bigger bodied players than us. In contested conditions that could be a boost.
Who knows.
I dont expect we'll see any different result because of the rain. If anything maybe should've brought Rioli in just to pinch a goal or 2.
The number 1 interceptor in the league according to Champion Data. LOL McEntee. He will play on worrell
When did you last see the old school mud pit at the MCG?Will be interesting to see what the ground looks like after 2 games in a row in the conditions we're expecting. Perfect recipe for the old school mudpit, and the exact reason why Curtain raisers have been absent from footy for a long while.
I would've rolled the dice with Rioli too, his conditioning is a disgrace but a couple goals from him in what will most likely be a lower scoring game would be handy, and i would've picked Finlayson instead of Lord. This is simply off the back of the last showdown and Finlayson showing some form in the two's. It might be a case of picking the players with the better attitude over talent though. The Crows are also a very big side. Lots of taller and bigger bodied players than us. It's a great question, why would we even play McEntee if he was going to be delisted?
Is the urge to play him really that strong?
Lord is contracted for 2026 and Finlayson I suspect has had his cards marked for departure. I would hope this is the justification, however you then just need to look at McEntee's selection to realise there is no rhyme nor reason to anything Donuts does.I would've rolled the dice with Rioli too, his conditioning is a disgrace but a couple goals from him in what will most likely be a lower scoring game would be handy, and i would've picked Finlayson instead of Lord. Assumed it was because it’s an away gameI presume the curtain raiser tomorrow is the reason the captain's run was at Alberton
With the conditions predicted i'm not sure we needed another tall forward anyway. Rioli in for Lord. But maybe he needs to meet some standards first, which i'm okay with.Lord is contracted for 2026 and Finlayson I suspect has had his cards marked for departure. i thought our tackle pressure was pretty good against Hawthorn, they were just cleaner with the ball and wanted it a little bit more, their contested numbers were through the roof. We brought effort but hawthorn showed that you can actually bring more if you really apply yourselves. The old first to the ball adage, it is key in wet weather footy.Crows number 1 team for breaking tackles in the competition, I would guess we're one of the worst as well
Playing Rozee at all this season is just salting the earth
