If we actually have as many players as suggested that are playing under duress and need to be ruled out for the rest of the year, this weekend is a good opportunity for them to play on the edge knowing that a suspension isn't going to concern them.

I'm not talking about going full Dave Granger as those days are well and truly over but you can give them a license to have one last crack at going full pelt, as long as they can't do any further damage that will derail 2026.

We need to make sure we make the crows earn it. They are ****-a-hoop about beating 8th and 9th and everyone is daring to dream now at West Lakes, but i feel that the lost two weeks the crows haven't really been tested in a dogfight, really poor defensive games from both the dogs and suns, downhill skiing which the crows have punished on the counter. They had the games exactly on their terms. The Crows were no doubt impressive, but it also exposed some weaknesses in the games of the suns and the dogs. Neither of those sides will be there when the whips are cracking.

The last time the crows really got tested in a roll up ya sleeves and get dirty dogfight was against the Hawks in Tassie and they didn't like it. They didn't like it when the conditions and game style didn't allow them to play the counter attacking sling shot champagne ball movement style.

If we are really up for it, we can turn this game into a big sloppy turd like they used to against us when they were the underdogs and beat them by just wanting it more. The conditions will mean that heart and endeavor will play a key role.
Butters will come out like a bull in a China shop and throw everything at them, you can count on that. He won't be able to do it by himself though and I doubt he'll have many mates.

The Crows pushed us all the way late last year despite their season over and Port being headed for the finals. The opposite never seems to happen though, our losses to them are mostly abject.

A hand is a fair bit different to a hamstring. As long as he has the strength to grip the ball and play through the pain it should be okay. Is it it going to get worse playing with it? I don't know i'm not a doctor but it seems a lot more low risk to me than the 5 day hamstring.

I must be the only one that is happy they're playing him, shows to me they are actually keen to win this one. Might not mean much, but it's our most important game for the rest of the year.

And if there is any chance we can do something to dent the crows premiership chances we need to go for it.

Good on Rozee for wanting to have a go this week.

A win would at least give us fans something to cheer about in what has been a shithouse year.

When Rozee came off the other week I seem to recall a lot of comments in the gameday thread along the lines of it "being just a sore hand/finger, toughen up and get back on"

He's had a week off, has said he'll play through any pain as he wants to lead the team and all of a sudden "why would he play etc..."

Provided he's not risking a long term injury then good on him for showing some leadership and intent.
