I want both the ins and outs focussed on next year rather than this year. If anyone needs surgery (Bergman, Aliir) send them for surgery. If anyone's not part of the future (Mead, Boak, maybe DylWil if his cards are fully marked which I suspect they probably are) drop them. Rozee can obviously come back in, but him aside, focus on the likes of Whitlock, Lai, Berry, Moraes, Ramm, maybe Charleson as potential ins. If that means we lose this game by 100, so be it.

That's the way it should be, but we'll get older and injured players picked. We'll still lose, but it'll be by 60 or 70, rather than the 90+ if they went the '2026 only counts' route. With only a handful of games left, Hinkley doesn't have the luxury of shitty performances being forgotten as he goes to his coffin for the summer.

Not that he gives a shit about Port all of a sudden, but given Koch and him have trained the happy clappers to forget anything more than a week old, he's probably thinking any potential suitors for a coaching (obviously not head coach) role elsewhere are the same and doesn't want big losses at the very end hiding his 'successes' prior to that. Better to run the players into the ground. If they break, well that's Carr's problem and if he does poorly it only makes him look better in retrospect, in his rat mind.

Now the shoes on the other foot expect some prison style shit (as it should

If Thilthorpe or Dawson or Rankine can ping a string or pull a ligament then we will see how deep they really bat

Hinkley’s loser talk has made me lose any slim hope I had.

Here I was hoping that we might somehow pull off an upset with an undermanned side like we did in round 21 2006, when the likes of Bentley, Willits, White and Thomas beat the top of table at the time crows. Chad Cornes was inspirational as stand in skipper, which I could see butters doing something similar.

I was drawing parallels until I realised choco would’ve had them ready to run through a wall that day and made denting the crows minor premiership hopes our mission and then there’s Ken Hinkley who is cracking jokes about hiding in the dark after a loss.
