I was surprised to see Geelong are 5 and 4. I thought they were going better than that but they've had a funny year, there results are really up and down. they've shown that they are definitely beatable.

Kane and Joe the goose were talking on that show last night as if Port had played their GF and are now due for a let down, i would've thought the complete opposite and that we are due for a win. i think there were some things we learned and did in the showdown that hopefully we can take into this weekend.

And was last week really our GF? We played reasonable well and should've won but we still had a heap of passengers and lapses in the game that hurt us. I don't necessarily think it was a performance that can't be backed up because it wasn't exactly god mode like the first half against Hawthorn.

Power gun Jason Horne-Francis missed his second-straight session with illness this morning. Club still hopes he’ll be okay to face the Cats tomorrow. Emergencies Travis Boak and Jed McEntee were at captain’s run today - reported by josh money. what do we make of this then? he's not going to miss surely?

This is so much happy clapper crap.

We used to sit there weekly in a crowd that used to be so passionate, loud and excited by our team. It hasn't been that way since 2015/2016. The majority of noise our crowd makes now is sighing at mistakes we make, or booing umpires. We used to cheer every kick and mark, there used to be chants regularly, these are now rare. We're in such a boring malaise as a supporter base from this ridiculous 'stability' enforced on us by the board.

The majority of the fan base is unhappy with where we are at and what we are producing, every port fan I hear at games, out at work or amongst friends, are all apart from a happy clapper every now and then, really unhappy. Supporting Port has become a real chore and depressing. We haven't had hope in so many years it's crazy.

The comment about players is correct of sorts. Of course no one is standing in the crowd yelling out a 2 paragraph statement on a player about their ability. Critical statements in the heat of the moment about players have always happened though, and of course still do, I've been sitting in the outer for 40 years hearing them. Regardless the players aren't the fans targets though for the supporter bases frustrations.
When was the last time the crowd went mental at the 3/4 time break like used to happen in the Choco years

Surely the club and the coaches must be aware of this on game day but they sit back collecting their big pay packets while the club and it's supporters are crumbling.
They'd rather get $$ from KFC and whoever the **** sponsors the Perfect Pair.

Debt reduction is more important than wins or members after all.

For the record I don't personally agree with this position (though I do find it understandable).

Kenny leaving is definitely enough for me, and I want the club to remain strong. Fixing our culture matters so much more than skills, individual players or wins/losses. We need a cultural shift to accountability and belief if we're ever going to seriously challenge for a premiership again.
I definitely feel a different feeling this year. I feel like we're in this hopeless rut of a year, it's very hollow, I want to win, but now I'm starting to doubt we aren't just being left with years of rebuilding to do. Can blame Hinkley all we want but he's gone anyway, so the blame and generally losing now gains nothing. Tanking gains nothing as we have no picks. We're basically in a position where we can only hope that our kids are being developed and we're still retaining a winning culture. My concern is that the last part of that is disappearing and the strong club myth is blowing apart because of years of mismanagement which just leads me to get angry at the board AGAIN, which we seem to be left helpless to change.

You just never know what to expect from us.
Geelong are very well structured but have been found out a bit by teams who move the ball quickly. They have had a big month some big games all close finishes, a couple of Geelong fans on their board are worried about that and think they may come out flat tommorow. But they are too professional for that so it's unlikely. No Stewart helps us but jhf needs to play if he doesn't it swings it back in Geelong favour. It will be close a kick either way.

He wouldn't get a game at any other AFL club lol. I didn't take long for the Crows to delist Rowe but we have to put up with SANFL level players at Port, Mead is another.
Rowe, without hyperbole, is atleast twice the player Cheese is.
