That's good... The boys need a bit of a break from getting bashed every week

Our last minor round game will be against Richmond who are likely to be pressuring for a finals spot and us pushing for top 2.

The cynic in me says the AFL will schedule that as the late Sunday game and last match of the minor round for the tension factor (and the fact our game against Freo in Perth the previous week is also the late Sunday match so will argue we need the 7 day break for travel and recovery - Richmond are playing first up on Saturday at home that weekend).

I'd bring in Williams into the back 6 and play Houston in the middle. Wines or Boak to sub. I'd consider Bonner too for some outside run

The only teams the Crows have beat in the last two months have been the worst team in vfl/afl history, and a team thats gone 4-40 and would be the 2nd-3rd worst team in history.

If we dont beat them then Hinkley should resign on the spot

Wish we could swap some of our defence for the Crow's tbh. Would love to have a Murray/Doedee/Michalanney/Butts etc. at our disposal than Jonas, Clurey and some makeshift defenders / dudes no where near it like Pasini/McCallum

We seem to develop better midfielders while they develop better tall defenders.

That he is. Could offer a one year deal and go from there. I have liked Doedee for a few years and definitely seem him as the type of player port have been missing. Unlike a lot of the franchises players this guy seems to have a football brain, leadership qualities and isn’t a flog. Would be a risk, but could be very beneficial.

Houston is playing career best footy and a current lock for the AA side.
Personally, i wouldn't be taking him away from his current role.

When did he do his knee? What round would we expect him to be able to play?

Not against the idea... Imagine $$ he wouldn't be to expensive (injury) and don't need to give up any draft capital

Early June. With Dawson being parachuted in as captain I don’t think it would take to much convincing for Tom to come and play at a real club. He would also like the family comes first attitude of the club. I actually think he would fit in nicely and will have something to prove.

Farrell made a few mistakes that's fine.. we all do (I think people forget we ain't perfect) what I want to see is Farrell to learn from it.

Rioli will be out. Assuming DBJ comes back in but if not I'd like to see Fantasia back. They need a few more natural goal kickers in the forward line - people who can create something out of nothing - as opposed to having a bunch of hard workers who apply pressure but s**t themselves at the thought of kicking one through the big sticks. Wouldn't be opposed to dropping Evans for Fantasia if DBJ comes in for Rioli as well.

Narkle should be sub. Farrell deserves another opportunity but he's on thin ice after he shat the bed today. Otherwise, I think the side is fairly settled and will remain that way barring injury going into September.

Farrell made some mistakes. Effort was mostly first class. Doesn’t mean he gets dropped.

Our top end players are pretty banged up.
Ordinarily I’d agree it’s too long a break but Butters/Dixon/Lycett/JHF could probably be better for it.
