We've basically turned JVR into a crap 3rd tall. The guy has buckets of potential but looks so blue collar and stodgy

Could that be because he’s a 20yo, 11 game KPF who is being asked to do way too much?

Needs support from a strong, seasoned key tall. Couldn’t be more obvious.

He's got no experienced forward to learn off. If he was playing with a Riewoldt or a Hawkins it would be so much better for his development.
I really think it's critical we hire one of those guys or someone of similar ilk to be our forwards coach next year.

On the right track. Doesn’t need a forward line coach. Needs a forward line partner.

It’s like explaining ABC’s to kiddies at this point.

Pity we have none of real quality, eh? [emoji848]

Needs time. He’s 19 and has serious presence.

One of Chandler or Spargo need to go. Both been invisible for over a month. Enough is enough. Oliver comes in for one of them. Bowey and Petty can come through Casey because Smith and Tommo played their best games for the year..surely can't drop them.

Gotta be Spargo. Looked really sooky/sour when he got subbed off.

I don’t agree Chandler was poor, he just didn’t “finish work”. Thought his pressure, tackling etc. was still nice, hopefully he gets good refreshment over the bye and comes back ready to kick arse again.

Charlie Spargo I love but he isn’t playing so good.

I agree with everyone saying tommo and smith deserve another game.

I dont think he "needs time" at all. Hes ready and is far more selfless for teammates around him than teammates are back to him. A few of our older guys could learn some things from his game.

ie: how to kick a pass to a teammate in forward 50, how to lay a block/shepard for a teammate, how to kick a set shot.

Yep, he is a special talent. Need to drop this no leading bullshit out of the coaching and we will genuinely start tearing teams apart again.

I’ve never seen Blake Howes but I get huge Cale Morton vibes off him. Literally no explanation or reason for it
Yeah he's not a bad comp.

Absolutely this. Greg Stafford is a total spud, has always been.

How so? Cos he's tall and skinny?

I've only watched a few vfl games of his and he looks like he's a much more contested player, especially in the air, than Cale.

He's competitive in the air when he has a clean run at it, not at all when he doesn't. Reckon he's also stronger than Cale was. He's kinda like a boring career trajectory Morton rather than the very talented bust version. I'm not suggesting he's going to flame out either. I like his potential enough if he rounds out his game.

I thought Gus was good after QT. Some of the handball link ups between the mids were awesome and he was definitely in a few that lead to very clean forward entries

He needs time to start dominating. He's clearly going to be a gun. I'm literally responding to a post about him becoming a "crap 3rd tall"

You read it wrong. What young Nicholas meant was he is being underutilised by shitty delivery and forward structure

JVR is ready to have a big game now but Stafford and Goody are like a mule with a spinning wheel.

Like I said in his player thread a week or so ago, he should be getting recognised far more than he does publicly but we are holding him back. The guy does so many great things for a KPF his age. Hes got some real footy smarts.

He's extremely talented and we are making him play like St Kilda version Aaron Hamill.

What pisses me off most is we don't do anything to help him, he's got to do everything himself (luckily he's good enough to impact the game at 19) Back in the day vets would make it easy for a talented youngster, with us it's fend for yourself.
