And when you consider he got the extra weeks rest from the supposed blister its mind blowing that we were trying to rush him back for Queens Birthday. Absolute s**t show from the medical staff and coaches for allowing him to determine what is best from the moment the injury happened against Port. Should have come off the ground then, and then coz of their impatience they've made it worse from there.

Again, absolute softball questions from the media, * it shits me. Nobody pressing the issue on how s**t we've handled this.

Without knowing much about Hamstring strains, I wonder if Clarry was being 100% honest with the medicos. How much of their assessments come from players telling them how these things feel on a day by day basis?

Sean Darcy did his against us, came off the ground and back in 3 weeks as a big fella.

Shouldn't ever trust a player to diagnose his injury. Thats what you pay a medical staff for. Pathetic.

I'm not saying he self diagnosed it. But every doctor has to talk to their patient to gather information. I'm not going to rip into the medical staff too much when there could have been several points of failure. Hell, maybe Goodwin screamed at them over the phone after he saw Oliver at Chaddy.

Goodwin absolutely is the kind of ******* idiot who would tell the medical staff that if Oliver says he's fine he's fine.

Floating rumour about drug use - NOT OKAY 🚫

Floating rumour about Clarry self-diagnosing own injuries - OKAY ✅

🥴

You have to look at the few days prior. At one stage it was 30mm Friday and Saturday but that has eased off a bit
No short cuts over the Todd from ground to casino. Might be damp. Uncles Tavern the place for demon visitors, take care if leaving late. Taxi only

Pig out for a month, Clarry no guarantee for next week.
Hibbo out will hurt.
Do we go small with Bowey, or go with Brayshaw there.? OR play Lever as 3rd tall-back (playing Hibbo's role), and bring Thomo back in.?

Bowey could, I think, play the Wing role, giving Langers a rest.
Langers has put in a few short steps of late, which is concerning. Needs to be rectified. And his use of the ball going forward has been weak imv.

Gus can go in the bin and Bowey can come back.
That's not going to happen though, Goody doubled down on Gus in the midfield being good in an AFL article today.

One of Bowey or Salem can go further up the field and do whatever it is Jordon or Spargo were supposed to be doing (but, do it better).

May, Petty, Lever, Gus, Rivers, Bowey/Salem should be sufficient down there.

That might be interesting: seeing Salem on a wing to see if he can make better inside F50 entries, but I wonder IF he would be too slow in making his decisions.

Bowey plays with more rolling flow in his game, with the ball... Is a nice kick and is used to lowering his eyes. I think he is worth a tryout on a wing.

Salem is better than Bowey, in shutting down the ball going into dangerous areas in our back 50. I wouldn't like to lose that and he kicks well to come out most times.
Even if a tad slow to start the rebound.

I would have Petty forward, to help van Rooyen in the packs. He has been the best tall; in the weeks where he has played alongside van Rooyen.

Gawn & TMc have been per average. Gawn has been weak as water since his knee scare. Hasn't marked the ball for most of the season around the centreline. This really hurts our setup transitioning.

If we played Petty forward, he could play as an marking option for us from the kickouts, in the Gawn role around the wings. Or around the centre circle.

Maxy really has to pull his finger out, because he's playing like Mr Squiggle.

It would be nice this week if May didn't bomb it to the left every kick out. Can't remember the last time Max marked one there and we seem to just turn it over for a quick re-entry. Not to mention it's incredibly predictable for the opposition to set up for.
This is the sort of stupid stuff that has crept back into our game. Boring, predictable, and not even very effective.

INS – Harmes, Bowey, Melksham, Tomlinson, Brown
OUTS – Hibberd (inj.), Jordon (omitted)
