Full Cream for leading patterns please.Concussion. Will go out for JVR, you'd think
My first "disagree" react in a while.Out: Tholstrup
Dont care for who but ive seen enough for a few weeks.
Hard to see where we drop our next game tbh, getting serious Geelong 2022 vibes from this team.Could we go FOUR IN A ROW?![]()
Watching Tholstrup play has me pining for Billings. But I totally get the car crash novelty, ok he can stay so long as he promises to play even worse next week.My first "disagree" react in a while.
Really enjoyed hate-watching Tholstrup last night, I wanna see if he can back up that game with another.
Jack Watts role.Watched the highlights of the game, had a little thought wondering if we could use Turner on a wing. He just looks a useful footballer without a set position yet. I wonder if we could use him as a tall winger who drifts back and forward with mismatches. It's the sorta thing Geelong would try
He looks like a natural half back floater. Good hands, reads the play well. Problem is we have Lever on the list who plays that exact role. Not sure either can play that lock down defender role. That's why the Cats defence is so fn good. They have 4-5 blokes who can play either the floating role and the lock down role. Might be a match up thing with Disco. Hawks don't have a tall forward line. So can see him playing a CHF next week.Im sure Goody will fall for it and play him permanently forward next week, but Disco has only ever looked decent as a forward vs the trashiest of teams. Thats not to say I dont rate him as a player, I like him a lot.
Its good that with Lever out of the side May has provided you with a new outlet for your frustrations.Out: May, Petty
In: Adams, Van Rooyen
Once again, May giving dumb frees away costing us goals and being 5m off his opponent. My tolerance is wearing thin.
Paul Roos knew what he was doingJack Watts role.
We should trade Lever, but im sure we wont. We must hold on to everyone til their value is nothing. He looks like a natural half back floater. Good hands, reads the play well. It's an interesting idea. I'm sure we weren't expecting this end of career renaissance from Tmac which could have given us scope to move Lever or May on. If Adams was coming on a bit better, maybe the club would look at Lever being expendable. He'd surely have a first rounder attached to his trade. May, not so sure now. Lever's leadership qualities would be a topic of conversation as well. Some don't particularly feel he's a strong leader, but the problem is we don't have a lot coming through that mid 20s age bracket who look like pure leaders. How much would the Kangas love a Lever in their backline right now.We should trade Lever, but im sure we wont. We must hold on to everyone til their value is nothing.
Im not sure we'd get a first. Maybe but it would be very late id say. The issue with Lever is the constant injuries and he wont be around when we are next competing for a flag. His leadership is overblown given what we have been thru the past 3 years. It's an interesting idea. Sorted. Get it done Tim Lamb! I reckon if we floated Lever on the market, a club will pay slight overs for him. I highly doubt the club would move him on anyway, but even less confident for anything less than a first round pick(yes agreed it won't be a high end pick).Im not sure we'd get a first. Petty and TMac can hold the fort til we work out something else. KPDs not too hard to find luckily and you dont need to spend top 5 draft capital on a good one. I loved Trainor in the draft last year (taken at pick 21) and he looks a decent player already for Richmond in year one.
Oliver will come straight back in, you know it. If Goody didnt have him play for Casey after last offseasons shenanigans he definitely wont this year. The club will keep trying to justify keeping him til the end of time while Goody remains coach. Our clearance work was the best it's been in years. So surely we don't bring Oliver back in now. Viney as the tagger works, Koz as the x factor, and Trac as the bull. I think that combo works really well. Most of us have been saying one of Viney or Oliver needs to come out of that midfield for balance. Hawks are a different ball game though. Don't expect to win, but we have to find a way to stay in the game.
