Higgins is pretty good, won 6 CB clearances round 1(2nd most in comp)

But watch Simpkin around a stoppage, on the move all the time.

Was mainly referring to centre bounces where we are generally static and reactive, rather than being a bit proactive, because we generally have ruck dominance.

You want smaller and more dynamic, but dropped Hrovat and brought in Wright (who you're very fickle with).

You're missing Luke (for Hibberd, I'd assume and want). If you're bringing in Durdin and EVW, you'd need both Sam Wright and Luke there with Jmac and Robbie for experience.

If you're dropping Hrovat, which I wouldn't do off one game, then Mountford would have to make way, as much as I'd like him to get more games.

I like Preuss in the ruck and Goldy up forwards. While not the ideal situation longer-term, if we're going to play them both, it might pay to switch the respective roles a bit.

McDonald is named in the guts, where he belongs.

There's still time, but I'm assuming from his stats he's been played on the HFF. Still, Cockatoo at pick 10, Ahern at pick 7, so maybe 'all's Wells that ends Wells'? (Greg, not Daniel).

Think he'd get JMac up forward too. I just want to see every player on our side legally and in the spirit of the game run through the campaigner under his body is bruised, battered and bleeding.

Reckon SPP is doing what we expected Cockatoo to do. You're right it is early and I think he has the grit to make it as a player but not the high production mid we might have envisaged him to be. More of an inconsistent but physically tough HFF.

I agree.

Geelong also havent been playing him and easing him in. This kid is going to be a player. Saw glimpses over the last couple of years and was wondering why they havent been playing him more. Perhaps it was due to Caddy; I dont know. I know they highly rate him though so must of just been progression.

Danger is so solidly built that it would need a suspension from JZ to keep him quiet or out of this game.

I really hope he doesnt clock more than 35 but I am guessing 42 or above.

Give Daw ten games in a row & kick it to his stomach not a meter over his head. If he's not up to scratch after those ten games - with decent delivery - chuck McKay in for five games.
Save Preuss for when we want to rest Goldstein for a match or three & give Jed a real crack now.
Cunners & Clarke are surely no brainers. Simpkin needs to play some VFL. Great to have a taste straight up but he needs to get fit & confident.

Nice ins and outs. Completely agree.

Though Anderson seems to be playing midfield now so might not be a like for like with Simpkin.

Maybe JZ plays forward more.

If I was a betting man I'd say he wants to play be we will take the conservative approach and rest him until rd 3

I reckon we'll drop Pruess and play Majak- both haven't shown enough for selection at this stage imo. Which is a concern, I would ruck Goldy solo.
