He has played for the Bulldogs all his playing career so he deserves to have a "Lap of Honour" at a Bulldogs game.

As I said before if you want the Collingwood element make it when we play them at Marvel.

I know next week is a "Replacement Game" but that only entitles you to "General Admission" only unless you buy a seat and then you won't be able to get down the front.

I say stuff Collingwood and give him a "BULLDOG" farewell
Ok sorry, not that big a deal. Shouldn’t have said anything. :$

For what it’s worth it should be at our home game.

Sweet will be an emergency you'd think. Won't be going any taller and Schache / Naughton / English won't be dropped.

Will be better for Sweet to #1 ruck for Footscray anyway IMO with Trengove not playing VFL this week.

I don’t get the VFL side they name each week. Why would Richards, Young, Dickson and Smith all be named? Surely none of them are getting dropped.

Young, Dickson & Richards should play, not sure about Smith though.

When we have a Sunday game and they name the 25 players on Thursday night the club is required to drop three of those players by Friday night. So although we usually know which three will be dropped they play this little game and list all seven in the VFL side until the senior team is finalised on Friday night.

The moral of the story is God gave everyone feet, to use. I acknowledge the very same God gave
people hands as well, to use.

Don't get in a flap,
With that old Handball crap,
Kicking the ball is fine,
Matthew Suckling divine.

It's good to finish with a poem, peace and love.

Is good to see we’ve fixed this from the JLT

I'm not expecting him to play, but it seems really odd that Tom Campbell couldn't crack a game last year and Jordan Sweet is named on the extended bench in round 3 of his first year.
If English suffers a late injury we have no other fit ruckmen on the list. It's the most emergency of emergencies if Sweet plays.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but I'm pretty sure this is our first match against Gold Coast at Marvel / Etihad / Docklands since 2011, when we smashed them by 71 in Gold Coast's 3rd ever game

Correct, though it was their second ever game (and first in Melbourne). Barry Hall kicked 5 and we won 122-51

I've seen him execute a few flat passes with his left over the years, but he doesn't do it often so maybe you're right.
I don't think it's an inability to kick on his left, the few times (<5) I've seen him do it he nails it. It seems to be that he chooses not to use it or a mental thing where he can't use it.
In the spirit of the thread I will naturally waste the entire game eagerly watching only Daniel waiting for a gotcha moment.

On a serious note he has been very good in the first two rounds with his decision making and ‘distribution’. Back to his best form in that area.
