No to Murphy unless we drop one of Rowe or McHenry

Rowe played the Murphy role well this week

Out - Brown looks like the game has passed him
Himmelberg offers not enough
Scholl perhaps he has a crack but makes many mistakes

Pleasing - Hately well done lad having a real crack
Hamill - again nice work at attacking the game

pass - Fog although no goals had a go at everything and his possessions are quality

In - Cook
Pedlar

A decent second ruck

Very much a decision of how we want to lose it.

Go Strachan who has the ability to tap to advantage and kinda alright when he gets the ball but doesn't break even as much, easily out bodied in the ruck contests around the ground and runs out of gas quickly.

Or Rob, can remain in the ruck for a massive chunk of the game, get no real net positive from his ruck work and someone we don't want finding the ball around the ground.

Might be worth looking at a ruck with the pre season draft...

Looks like Brown could just do with a rest to freshen him up. He wasn't that bad tonight. McPhersons should be nice and freshened up. He can come in. St Kilda don't have any speedy small forwards that would trouble us and even if they do Jones or Hamill could go on them.

Id run the ruck tandem of ROB and Strachan. Sorry to sound like a broken record.

I'd drop Berg he could do with a rest as well. TT should be good to come in. Was ahead of Fog until injured.

If Butts was back I'd drop Murray.

Actually might need to bring another key defender in looking at their forward line or run the guantlet with one of the ruckmen if we bring the two in.

If Butts remains out, how about:
Out Brown, in Murphy with Laird moving back to defence.
Out Berg, in Thilthorpe
Out Sholl, in Pedlar/Cook
Out Rachele, in Newchurch
Who is our 2nd key defender as Saints have a tall forward line?

Sub: Sholl

I love Cook but he’s been dropped (unfairly IMO) and then had a bye, it makes no sense to bring him back in without playing at least one game in the twos. Hopefully plays a blinder at SANFL level.

If Butts’ iso extends to next Saturday night at midnight, Worrell comes in instead.

If either of Brown or Himmelberg play we are taking the piss.

Fogarty gets one more chance to save his career. Otherwise I honestly don’t see him playing another game for the club. Just an absolute plodder tbh.

Parnell stiff to miss out. I’d be equally happy with him instead of Pedlar but realistically only one of them can play.

Yeah, probably noone. I was wanting to include one, but not Frampton
Would rather not Murray, but he showed some improvement tonight. Big ask, but maybe a Borlase or McAsey? Would need Doedee and Smith to stand up big time.

The saints play 2 tall forwards around 2m... so we can't expect Doedee, Smith or Hinge to match up or we will be slaughtered.
