Do we have a hall of fame somewhere for extraordinary posts? This has to be the biggest overreaction to selection in our 30 year history. Coming off possibly out best game for the season, the changes are:

Out: Crocker, Butts (a fringe player and a one gamer)
In: B.Crouch, Talia (arguably the 2 best players on our list)

Some people have short memories I guess.

When we played both Crouches and Sloane in the same team, our midfield was smashed earlier this year. Our best games where when one of the three was missing.

We also know that a defence of Brown, Talia, Hartigan and Kelly doesn't work. The last two times we played that structure were against North Melbourne and Western Bulldogs. Other recent games where we were still in the game after half time (Essendon, Melbourne, Collingwood, Geelong), one of those four didn't play.

We've named a slow, midfield heavy team.

Three of four players on the bench are inside mids (Matt, Poholke and Keays) plus we've named Jones at half forward, Sloane on the wing (and Brad, Laird and Schoenberg as the starting mid trio).

Badly lacking pace and any sort of run and carry.

Defense is also lockdown heavy and lacks creativity, and the forward line is looking thin for scoring options
If anything the inclusion of Liard and B Crouch into the midfield makes it a Quicker midfield.
Brad Crouch 2.92 20m sprint
Rory Laird 2.91 20m sprint.
Rory Sloane 2.98 30m sprint,
Just for info
Usain Bolt was 2.89 for 20m sprint in his world record sprint his average was higher.
And yes Matt Crouch is slow at 3.25
Don't Know Schoenbergs times.

Yes we were smashed and both Crouches were in Poor form and not winning the football as much as expected but the one thing you are forgetting is when they were not in the middle we had nothing absolutly nobody winning the football,
The Crows this year lack Midfield depth when rest 1-2 players on the bench and we had nothing and until Liard move into the mix the Crows did not have a 3rd player getting more than 15 touches in the middle regulary. For the First time we will have 3 players who average this year more than 20 touches our next best is Keays on 15.

feel like we cant have kelly and harto in the same team, both have poor disposal of the football and not a lot of footy smarts. would drop kelly and blood a youngster to be honest, kelly aint getting any better.
I don't see why we can't have both of them in the team, if we're also able to have 10 inside midfielders in the team too

Trust your instincts on that viewpoint... you'll fit in well around here!

true, but those two lack creativity as much as i dislike harto at least he's a big body player can cause disruption by his size. but yeah would prefer more pace as opposed to our mids being nearly identical. lets hope me pick some speed and a bit of X factor in the draft

This time we also have Poholke, Keays and Laird in the middle. So with 6 of them at a centre bounce, we'll be golden.

Also earlier in the year ROB was terrible at the center bounces. He's fixed that up a lot and neither Ceglar nor McEvoy are a Gawn, Nic Nat, Ryder or Grundy, so we should go ok in there again this week - it helped ROB was good in there against Stanley / Blicavs last week.

Schoenberg 3.13 20m and 20.3 yo-yo, neither fast or possessing of great endurance at the draft combine.

Clarko interview, he clearly says that winning isn’t their priority, getting ready for next year is.

Doesn’t mean we’ll win, but we have a shot

Pretty top heavy with Naysayers this thread, genuinely hoping you are coping OK with a win ;)
