What id do next game .

Stengle Worrell. MCAdam

Milera Himmelberg. Fogarty

Jones. Crouch. B.Smith

Hammill Talia. Sloane

Butts. Hartigan. Brown

R: OBrien. Schoenberg Laird

Bench: Scholl., McKay, Keays/Poholke , Murphy
There was a grab of Worrell today.
He’s pretty tall but played wing?

Possible, but really, this is nowhere near the Hawks of old.

If Adelaide brings the pressure it brought against Geelong, the Hawks will fold as the quality isn't there to withstand such a challenge. After all, for how good Clarkson is, Hawthorn are in the bottom four.
This, this is a good chance.

Port's NGA Lachlan Jones is a midfielder in waiting and he'd be in my top 10 currently....He's performing as well in the SANFL League as McDonald is in the WAFL League in the roles they are playing currently.

So what's the deal with NGAs? Do Port have Jones wrapped up? Can we bid on him? How does it work?

We got the new Football Directer this year in Adam Kelly, So it only a Chairman which is happening end of the year Hopefully thats Grant Kelley,
Leaving only the CEO which to be honest will not happen until at least end of 2021, my tip is 2022
And before the knifes come out Its a CEO prediction not what I want to happen.
Hes talking about Riccuito. Hes the director of football. Kelly is the Football Manager.

The same as father son. Anyone can bid then the team that they are alligned to need to match. So we have to match any bid for Newchurch, Borlase or Edwards. Western Bulldogs have to match any bid for JUH who is tipped as No 1. We will have pick one so we will probably bid on him and force bulldogs hand.

Not a lot of money to spread around after this

You said in your original post that in SA we no longer had free transport to games if I read you right. We do have. You further project that we will not have this in future. How do you know this? Yes, there will be fewer bucks around after Covid, but free transport to games is about more than giving something to football supporters. It is also about keeping the number of cars in the CBD down on match nights. You may be right in your supposition. You may not.

Simple economics .....when the monies flowing in, all sorts of "extra's" can be accommodated

The fact there's a ?????on the reserves sides shows this ......in the eastern states, will clubs run their stand alone reserves, or spread across VFL clubs
Coaches are being cut back ....resources reduced ....but subsidizing public transport continues ??

I'm sure if the club had a choice on the above cutbacks being reversed, and public transport subsidy ....the subsidy will go

Now if you're saying the State Govt will take that cost on .....why ????? .....do they have bucketloads of money in these times ?

What extra costs? The buses and trains will still be running, they'll just be empty instead of being full of supporters going to the game. It's foregone income, but there's no additional costs.

As previously pointed out, the main reason they do it is to reduce traffic congestion and the need for parking, on game nights. Those needs don't go away.

You haven't caught up with the amalgamation of the NEAFL and VFL next year?
You state things as fact that you have no knowledge on. Even in what are going to be economically straitened times, there will still be things either the state government provides or the private operators of our public transport system provide. The state government can demand that the private operators continue to provide this service. It is my understanding that this is one of the demands they are making contingent on sale.
You may be right or you may be wrong, but please, you don't have a crystal ball.

In Adelaide ?

There's a cost to everything .....the question is who pays, and can a luxury service for supporters, which is not available in other states, be or should be continued

Our quietest road time in MELB would still be busier than Adelaides peak .....that's simply a fact

It was a great initiative by the AFC, but was it an essential service .....of course not

1. Yes I'm aware of the league restructuring

2. No I don't have a crystal ball ....but I understand economics and human behavior ....lets see

I would love to see 3 wins.. GWS, Blues, Hawks.. just close one’s though so our percentage stays around where it is.. and we’ll remain bottom

is that too much to ask?..
If we have 3 close wins, our % will drift up. It's only low at around the 55% mark because we have been losing by significant amounts. Our % could still be near 100% if we lost all season games but they're all close ones.

If we have 3 close wins in our remaining games - let's say all involved teams score around the 60 points marks, our current 54% will drift up to the 60% mark. If we have any wins by significant margins, our % would go up even more.

Meanwhile North on 81% could easily drift down to the 60%/50% if they have 4 heavy losses in remaining games.

Just sayin' ;)

You’re forgetting who we play last.

Any percentage gains we make in the next three game if we won them will be well and truely wiped out in the last game...

This is probably the game we should look at throwing everything at to win.

Crouch, McPherson in.
Crocker, Kelly out.

I would put Hamill on ice for the rest of the year.

Depends on how close those wins are. If we win the next 3 games 50-49 (and it's hard to see us scoring more than 50pts), then our percentage only increases to 55.66%.

North have scored 140 more points than us, and conceded 167 fewer. That's a big gap to make up. Our highest score for the season, post-lockdown, is only 59pts - so it's seriously hard to see how the percentages would change enough to put our wooden spoon at risk.

Take no chances.

??? If you add 150 points to both our for/against 579/1055 (54.9%) - given it's close games - that goes to 729/1205(60.4%). If the oppo score low in those wins, say they only score 60 points, that's 729/1115(65.4%) - even worse.

I'll allow us to win two games, then see what happens. :)

I love the irrational confidence. "I'll allow us to win two games".
I don't think we would beat more than two or three of the SANFL teams right now.

Just went into to ticktek account entered my barcode. Came back with AOFM $0.00. Crows Member $30.00. So I was quick to click 1 AOFM thanks. Wow so SMA Members get in free but crows have to pay.

My ticket was 50 bucks, I thought all tickets were 30? Wasn’t too happy

That last sentence is absolute crap mate and you know it. Any AFL side would wipe the floor clean with the lower levels. If you think our fitness is bad, they aren’t even in the same ball park given it’s not a full time career. If we can match it with an AFL side (like we have done a few times this year), then our scoring wouldn’t be an issue in the lower leagues. Can you imagine Norwood’s ruck trying to keep up with ROB?

I screwed up. I wrote 579 down as our current "FOR", but misread it as 519 when I punched it into calculator... There's an extra 60pts missing from the FOR part of my calculations.
