Look we all had some fun with Maddog Mackay a fortnight ago. Good win, ridiculous tribunal hearing, fun times.

But enough is enough. He shouldn’t be anywhere near this team and shouldn’t be on the list next year. Shouldn’t have been on the list this year either.

Ridiculous, you lot are so quick to jump on D Mac, there were at least 10 blokes who had worse games than he did. Whose spot is he taking? Which outside running type is knocking down the door in the SANFL for his spot? We're already a slow side, imagine taking him out of it at the moment. Based on his form this year you cant say he doesn't deserve another go again next year. Get an original opinion, namaste xo

I know we won't do it but I'd bring in Himmelberg to take one of those 2, McAsey is really becoming a worry, struggles against some really ordinary SANFL forwards who are continuing to outbody him.

Just watching DGB yesterday reinforced just how far behind McAsey is. Same Pick but taken a year earlier than DGB and he looks miles ahead.

I’m normally not a fan of Kelly, but what game were people watching that they’re asking for him to be dropped? Played a far better game than Doedee who has been absolutely bog average when asked to mark a tall defender.
People also asking for Mackay to be dropped, don’t appear to understand football . He’s the least of our concerns at the moment and is providing at least some run and carry.

Berry had a stinker. Brown with TWO pressure acts for the entire match, TWO. He is going to be absolutely torn to shreds by Charlie Cameron. Compare that to Chayce Jones’ 20 pressure acts.
Darcy Fogarty with 3 possessions for the entire match….1 tackle…. I don’t even know where to begin…
Hamill to me is a huge concern. He’s completely forgotten how to use his number one weapon in speed. Won’t take on players and has regressed so far this season compared to what he was showing us last year.
Schoenberg is one of the only players who shows a bit of quality in terms of his kicking around the ground, particularly I50, but he seems to go missing at other times, and doesn’t impose himself on games. Cruising

At this stage our SANFL team are performing quite well, and some should be rewarded for effort. I think Hately’s body of work (despite not having a cracker this week) should see him up for selection in place of Sloane, and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring in Parnell, Pedlar or Gollant to shake things up

Have you been watching SANFL?

McAsey keeps getting outbodied in one on one contests by some pretty ordinary SANFL forwards....I'm starting to get really concerned the longer the season goes on with his lack of development in that particular area of his game given some of the gorilla forwards her'll have to man up on in the AFL if recalled.

Himmelberg to defence should happen but it won't.

IMO I think he came into the season very underdone, and possibly had a poor preseason? (The collapse?!)
Needs to put a significant amount of muscle on. I do wonder if issues back at home with his dad stifled him a little bit. I think there’s enough there to suggest that if he works on his conditioning, and hits the weights room that there’s a player there.

You've got to be kidding with Hately. The only real candidate to push into our HF, Mid from SANFL is Hately.

Did you watch the SANFL game on the weekend?.

Hately was ordinary.. spent most of the game facing away from the ball and instead watching his opponent.

Then when he did get the ball he did bugger all with it.

ROC showed more. Pedlar was 10x the player on the day. Even Oliver Davis was better but we cant pick him.

Thilthorpe and Walker rotating deep and up the ground, Murphy and Rowe crumbing, Gollant and Cook playing as third forwards and getting up the ground to the wings when able.

I don't see how that's worse than the low effort sh*t McAdam and Fogarty have been dishing up for weeks, and Murphy has better goal sense than McHenry.

No 15 year olds available for you to play instead?

That's a ridiculous thing to post, they're miles off it and should keep developing in the SANFL.

Because Fog also did sweet FA against the Saints and Berry was one of our best on ground. Fog also has more competition for his spot and actually has two players who are playing decent enough footy in the SANFL to warrant their selection.

I disagree. Key forwards are not a high competition position at the moment. Himmelberg so far had a disastrous 2021 campaign and Frampton had a run of games which showed that he is too good for SANFL, not good enough for AFL.

Both are only good for injury depth at the present time.

Really the play with Fog is to persist until he makes it, or we have recruited his replacement (and they're ready to go).

In terms of the 3 talls we are playing this weekend, I think we could possible afford to have Worrell go with Hipwood. From what i've seen in the past Hipwood is a lead up forward who beats his opponent with great athleticism, but over his 6 years he's only averaged 1 contested mark per game. And personally i've never really seen him dominate an opponent by outbodying them. I think Josh could probably go with him around the grounds, and bank on him not trying to beat him with overhead contested marking (and even so, Josh has been pretty solid in that department in the 2's this year right?)

Would be a big test giving away that height, but there's only 8 games to go this year, probably the perfect time to start testing these kids.

Berry is a decent footballer and Fogarty isn't. Even mentioning Berry shows that you don't know what you are talking about at all. Berry isn't even being played in position and he's so far ahead of Fogarty it isn't funny. They are completely different players anyway so it seems strange to mention them in the same sentence but the important factor is that Berry has it and Fogarty doesn't.

The love for a shite footballer in Fogarty is starting to annoy me. I'm all for supporting talent but the only thing Fogarty can do is kick straight 80% of the time. Take Walker out of that forward line and see how Fogarty fares, it won't be pretty viewing. The club is going nowhere playing Fogarty and signing him was another list management mistake. Imo he was only signed as he was the best of a bad lot which included Frampton and Himmelberg.

Which ten blokes had worse games than him?...

Hes a bloke thats played 250 ****n games.. not an under 50 game player.

He should be providing a hell of a lot more than the absolute garbage he does. And comparing him against our young players is just ****ing dumb.

Shit games from young inexperienced players is expected and acceptable. Shit games from a nearly 250 game veteran is not acceptable. And he is shit nearly every week.

How some here can watch the crap he dishes up and still defend it is simply staggering.

His form this year has been the same as his form every year for years now.. a couple of good things here and there mixed in with a hell of a lot of bog average rubbish.

What is really damning from the grab from AFL. Com was that half our forward line contributed 18 disposals for the match and half our defence combined for a total of 22 touches. Pretty hard to win games when a 3rd of your side contribute 40 disposals total for the match
