How do we get Fog into the side? He’s a beast who would get a look in at most clubs.
Would he ??

If we go with the smaller lineup he'll struggle to get in. I suspect that's why we're looking at him in the midfield in the 2s, gives him that mid/forward versatility

The changes were very predictable once we knew that McAdam and Hamill had both overcome their ankle issues, and I like the fact that we’ve avoided giving the sub vest to a debutant who potentially won’t get off the bench.

It’s pretty line-ball as to whether we go with Himmelberg or Jones as the sub, but you’d think Jones makes a little bit more sense really because there’s only about 6 guys in the 22 who Himmelberg would make an adequate replacement for, while Jones can cover any mid, small - medium forward or small - medium defender (basically the other 16 players) with a bit of reshuffling.

Brown’s role is essentially replaced by McPherson, McPherson is replaced by Hamill, and Hamill is replaced by Mackay. The Mackay haters won’t like it, but if we are actually trying to win the game, this makes more sense than shoving ANOTHER first gamer (Worrell) into an already extremely inexperienced backline (even with Mackay coming in, the defensive 7 have gotten less experienced from last week). Murray, Butts, McPherson, Hamill and Doedee is more than enough youth in a back 7 and that’s ultimately why Worrell was never going to feature this week.

Murray comes in for Kelly and makes us a bit taller down back, which is not a bad thing against the triple threat of Franklin / McDonald / Reid.

On Worrell, I don’t really see him as being suited to playing on any of the above forwards personally (and I certainly wouldn’t put him anywhere near the likes of Papley or Heeney either), and IMO his logical way into the side would be an injury to Smith, Sholl or Lynch, or if we decide to axe Seedsman.

As far as this week’s game goes, it’d be great to see the same sort of pressure as last week but I’m certainly not expecting to. The crowd last week was a major factor, and I think we’ll struggle in pretty much all of our away games this year, plus there’s the natural “come-down” from a finals-like performance by a super young side, I expect us to get beaten comfortably by a team who I believe will definitely finish top 10, and might even break into that 6th-8th bracket. Their young brigade are the envy of the competition, and they’re about to explode.

I think you're right... because I think Talia's body is getting very close to the end. I won't be at all surprised if he decides to hang up the boots at the end of this season.

I can't see Murray being picked ahead of Talia, Butts or Doedee if they're all available. Who do you see him being picked ahead of?
Retire at 29!

Seed was good last week though, but would need to continue that to keep guys like Worrell out as his position is the most vulnerable I think

This.

The senior players can keep their spots it they play to the best of their ability. If not then they have to swiftly make way.
